       Uses and Purposes therein mentioned & the Lands thereby bargained and sold to be the right and Estate
       of the same Joseph Selby his Heirs and Assigns for ever free and absolutely discharged of and from the
       right Title of Dower of her the same Jemima & we hereby certify that at the Time of taking
       the above Acknowledgment of the same Jemima Howard we examined her privately out of the
       Hearing of her said Husband and that she made her Acknowledgment of the same willingly
       & freely and without being induced thereto by Fear or Threats of or ill Usage by her Husband or

       This Indenture made this twenty first Day of Aug.t in the Year of our Lord one
       thousand seven hundred and seventy three Between John Carmack of Frederick County
       and Province of Maryland Farmer of the one Part and Basil Dorsey of the same County
       and Province afs.d Planter of the Other Part Witnesseth That the said John Carmack for and in
       Consideration of six hundred and ten Pounds Current Money to him in Hand paid by the said
       Basil Dorsey the receipt whereof the said John Carmack Doth hereby acknowledge and himself
       therewith to be fully satisfied contented and paid Hath given granted bargained sold aliened released and
       confirmed and by these presents Doth give grant bargain sell alien release and confirm unto him
       the said Basil Dorsey his Heirs and Assigns for ever All his the said John Carmack's right
       Title Interest and Property of in and to all the following Tract or Parcel of Land being Part of
       a Tract of Land called Walnut Ridge and Part of a resurvey made on said Tract situate in
       Frederick County afs.d on a Branch of Linganore called piney run Beginning at a Stone
       marke IC Being at the Beginning of the Original Tract called Walnut Ridge and running
       thence North fifty four Deg.s East five perches South seven Degrees West eighty one perches
       South fifty six D.s West twelve perches North forty two D.s West one hundred and sixty
       eight Perches North sixteen Degrees West forty eight perches North thirty three
