591) Baltimore County to wit I hereby certify that Jeremiah Sheredine and William Webb Gentlemen before whom the above Acknowledgment was made and who have thereto subscribed their Names were at the Day of the Date thereof and still are two of the Lord Proprietary of Maryland his Justices of the Peace in and for the County aforesaid and to all Certificates by them given as such Due Faith and Credit is and ought to be given as well in Courts of Justice as thereout In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my Hand and affixed the Publick Seal of the County aforesaid this twenty third Day of December (LS) seventeen hundred and seventy three A Lawson Clk Balto Coty Co.t 9¾ Sides Recorded the 11.th Day of January 1774 X.d William Cuthbert of the Town and County of Newcastle upon Pyne in Great Britain Gentleman and John Barber of the same Place Gentleman severally make Oath that they these Deponents do very well know Robinson Wakefield of North Shields in the County of Northumberland in Great Britain Gentleman and Ann his Wife And that they were this twenty second Day of March Instant present and did see the said Robinson Wakefield and Ann his Wife severally sign seal and as their respective Act and Deed deliver the Letter of Attorney hereunto annexed bearing Date this Day from them the said Robinson Wakefield and Ann his Wife (by the Discription of Robinson Wakefield of North Shields in the County of Northumberland in Great Britain Gentleman and Ann Wakefield Wife of the said Robinson Wakefield late Ann Fell Spinster only Child and Heir at Law of Edward Fell formerly of Baltimor Town in the Province of Maryland in American Merchant deceased) to John Backhouse of Philadelphia in America Merchant and William Backhouse of Newyork in America Merchant and either of them and these Deponents further severally say that they did thereupon attest the Execution of the said Letter of Attorney And say That the Names or Characters Robinson Wakefield" and Ann Wakefield" thereto respectively set as Parties thereto are of the respective proper Hands Writing of them the said Robinson Wakefield and Ann Wakefield And that the Names or Characters) "W.m Cuthbert" and "Jn.o Barber" thereto respectively set and subscribed as Witnesses thereto are of the respective proper Hands Writing of them these Deponents Severn at Newcastle abovesaid the twenty second W.m Cuthbert Day of March in the Year of our Lord one Thousand Jn.o Barber Seven hundred and seventy three Before me John C Blackett Mayor |
