       and Company or of John Glassford and Company to give execute and make and to do all other lawful
       Acts and Things whatsoever concerning the Premises as fully and in every Respect and to all
       Intents and Purposes as we ourselves or any or either of us might or could do if personally present
       And Attorneys one or more under him for the Purposes aforesaid to make and at his Pleasure to
       revoke hereby ratifying allowing and confirming whatsoever our said Attorney and his Substitutes
       or Substitute shall do execute or perform or cause to be done executed and performed in about and
       touching the Premises  In Witness whereof We have hereunto affixed our Names and Seals this
       fourteenth Day of August in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and seventy one
       And in the eleventh year of the Reign of his Majesty George the third by the Grace of God King

       To all to whom these presents shall come I Colin Dunlop Esquire Provost and chief magistrate of the
       city Glasgow In pursuance of an act of parliament made and passed in the fifth year of the
       reign of our late Sovereign Lord King George the second entitelled an act for the more easy
       recovery of      debts in his Majestys plantations and colonies in America do hereby certify
       that on the day of the date hereof personally came and appear before me Charles Buchan
       apprentice to John Glassford Merchant in Glasgow ^aforesaid^ & Thomas Grahame of the same place
       writer and public Notary the two subscribing witnesses to the power of Attorney abovewritten
       being persona well know and worthy of good credit and by solemn oath which they the said Charles
       Buchan and Thomas Grahame  then took before me on the holy Evangelists of Almighty
       God did Solemnly and sincerely declare testify and depose that the said deponants were
       present and did see John Glassford James Gordon John Campbell Henry Riddell Alexander
       Low and William Ingram Sign Seal and Execute as their proper act and deed the power of
       Attorney above written And that the names John Glassford James Gordon John Campbell Jun.r
       Henry Riddell Alexander Low and William Ingram
       thereto set as the parties executing and the names Charles Buchan and Thomas Grahame
       thereto set as Witnesses are the proper hand writing of the said John Glassford James Gordon
       John Campbell Henry Riddell Alexander Low and William Ingram and of these deponents
       respectively
                                              (LS)      In faith and testimony whereof I the said Provost and chief Magistrate
                                                           of the city aforesaid have Subscribed these presents  And have caused
                                                           the common seal of the said city of Glasgow to be hereunto set and affixed
