581) Dec.r 1.st 1773 Then Came before us the Subscribers two of Justices of Ann.l County Court the within named Philip Hammond and acknowledged the within Indenture to be his Act & Deed and the Land and Premisses within mentioned to be the Right and Estate of the within named Green Spurrier his Heirs and Assigns forever according to the true Intent and Meaning of the within Deed And the Act of Assembly in such Cases made and provided H Ridgely John Burgess Jun.r 7½ Sides Rec.d of M.r Green Spurrier the Sum of Eight Shillings and six Pence Sterling being the Alienation Fine due on the within Land to Lord Proprietor by Virtue of a Commission from Dan.l of S.t Tho.s Jenifer Esquire his said Lordship's Agent & Receiver Generale J Brice Recorded the 18.th December 1773 Mem the Deed Recorded in page 513 William Paca & wife to Charles Wallace should have been Recorded before the following Deed Cha.s Wallace to William Paca & wife Ex.d This Indenture made the thirtieth Day of July in the Year of our Lord seventeen hundred and seventy three Between Charles Wallace of the City of Annapolis Merchant of the one Part and William Paca of the City of Annapolis Attorney at Law and Mary his Wife of the other Part Whereas the said William Paca and Mary his Wife did by their Deed of Bargain and Sale bearing equal Date herewith bargain and sell unto the said Charles Wallace his Heirs and Assigns all those Tracts or Parcels of Land lying and being in Queen Anne's County containing fourteen hundred and fifty Acres more or less being the Moiety or half Part of the Island which was lately the Property of Philemon Lloyd Chew and by him devised to Margaret Bordley and the said Mary Paca and which said Moiety Tracts or Parcels of Land were lately allotted by Partition to the said Mary Paca as her Proportion and Dividend of the said Island Now this Indenture Witnesseth That the said Charles Wallace for and in Consideration of the Sum of five Shillings Sterling Money to him in Hand paid by the said William Paca and Mary his Wife at and before the Ensealing and Delivery hereof the Receipt whereof the said Charles Wallace doth hereby akcnowledge and therefrom acquit and discharge the said William Paca and Mary his Wife their Heirs Executors and Administrators and every of them doth by these Presents covenant grant and agree to with the said William Paca and Mary his Wife their Heirs and Assigns that he the said Charles Wallace his Heirs and Assigns shall and will from henceforth forever hereafter stand and be seized of the several Tracts or Parcels of Land aforesaid with their and every of their Appurtenances and all other the Premisses to the Uses Intents and Purposes and under the Provisoes and Limitations as hereafter and by these Presents are expressed limited and declared that is to say for and to the Use of the said William Paca for and |
