580 Trees of the Original Tract Called the Valley of Strife And Running then North Sixty five Degrees East fifty Perches North thirty eight Degrees East forty Perches North seventy three Degrees East forty two Perches South forty four Degrees East forty four Perches South thirty one Degrees West one hundred and sixty six Perches North seventy five and an half Degrees West one hundred and forty two Perches and thence with a staight Line to the Beginning Containing and laid out for one hundred and twelve Acres and one quarter of an Acre of Land More or Less Together with all and singular the Appurtenances thereunto belonging or ^in^ any wise appurtaining To have and to hold the said Land being Part of a Tract of Land called the Valley of Strife and containing One Hundred and Twelve & a quarter Acres of Land more or less as aforesaid and the Premisses with their Appurtenances unto him the said Green Spurrier his Heirs and Assigns for ever to the sole propper Use and Behoof of him the said Green Spurrier his Heirs and Assigns for ever And to none other Use Intent or Purpose whatsoever And the said Philip Hammond for himself his Heirs Executors and Administrators hereby covenant and agree to and with him the said Green Spurrier his heirs Executors and Assigns that he the said Philip Hammond shall and will from Time to Time & at all Times hereafter warrant and for ever defend unto him the said Green Spurrier his Heirs and Assigns the above mentioned bargained Land and Premisses from and against him the said Philip Hammond and his Heirs and all Persons Claiming from by or under him or them And the said Philip Hammond doth hereby covenant for himself and his Heirs to and with the s.d Green Spurrier and his Heirs that he the said Philip Hammond and his Heirs shall and will at any Time hereafter make do or suffer any other or such Act or Acts Things or Things Assurances or Conveyances as shall at any Time hereafter be reasonably required of him the said Philip Hammond his Heirs or Assigns for the better Surety & Sure making of the Premisses hereby bargained and intended ^so^ to be Provided that such Act or Acts T^h^ing or Things Assurances or Conveyances contain no other Covenants or Warranty than are herein expressed and particularized In Witness whereof the said Philip Hammond has hereunto set his Hand and affixed his Seal the Day and Year first above written Signed Sealed and Delivered In the Presence of Ph Hammond (LS) H Ridgely John Burgess Jun.r On the Back of the foregoing Deed was thus endorsed Viz.t Dec.r 1.st 1773 Then Received of the within mentioned Green Spurrier the Sum of Seventy Six Pounds Five Shillings Curr.t Money being the Consideration within expressed Ph Hammond H Ridgely John Burgess Jun.r |
