573 of every kind unto him the said Benjamin Gaither his Heirs and Assigns from and against him the said John Hammond and his heirs and all Persons claiming or to claim by from or under him and his Heirs shall and will warrant and for ever hereafter well and truly defend by these Presents And moreover he the said John Hammond aforesaid and his heirs shall and will at the reasonable Instance and Request and at the proper Cost and Charge of him the said Benjamin Gaither and his heirs make do and execute or cause to be made done and executed any other Deed or Conveyance containing the Covenants and Warranty for the better Surety and suremaking of the said Parcel of land and Premises with the Appurtenances thereof unto him the said Benjamin Gaither and his heirs as by him the said John Hammond and his heirs shall or may be reasonably devised advised or required In Witness whereof the said John Hammond hath hereunto set his hand and seal the day and year above written Signed sealed and delivered John Hammond Son of Thomas John (LS) in the Presence of On the Back of the foregoing Deed was (The word three being first interlined Elijah Robosson thus endorsed viz Jn.o Duckett Received this twelfth Day of Novemb.r one thousand seven hundred and seventy three the sum of ten Pounds sterling ^money^ being the Consideration Money within expressed to be paid by him unto me Test Elijah Robosson John Hammond Son of Thomas John John Duckett Nov.r 12.th 1773 Then came ^before me^ one of his Lordship's Justices of the Provincial Court John Hammond party to the within Deed and acknowledged the same to be his Act and Deed and the Tract or Parcel of Land and Premises with the appurtenances herein mentioned to be the absolute Estate and Property of the within named Benjamin Gaither his heirs and assigns for ever according to the true Intent and Meaning of the within Deed and of the Act of Assembly in such case made and provided At the same Time came Anne the Wife of the said John Hammond and being severally examined by out of the Hearing of her said Husband declared that she voluntarily and freely renounced and relinquished all right Claim and Pretension of Dower of in and to and out of the aforesaid Parcel of Land and premises with the Appurtenances thereof and that she did this and made this Acknowledgement without any Dread or Fear of her said husband |
