554 Necessary for the entering up of all Matters and Things Relating to such Commissary Generals Office and shall and will make or cause to be made and entered true legal and perfect Records and Entries According to the Truth and Nature of the matter or thing required to be Entered and Recording and Shall duly and carefully look after sustain preserve repair and maintain all the several Books Papers and Records now being and remaining in the said Office as also all those that from Time to Time during his continuance in the said office shall be added thereunto in such manner that in Case of Death or that he shall be legally Dismissed from officiating longer in the said office he the said William Fitzhugh his Executors or Administrators shall surrender and deliver up or cause to be surrendered and delivered up to the Next Person who shall succeed him in the said Commissary Generals Office all the Papers and Record Books now being in the said Commissary Generals Office ^In good Order and Repair as also all such other Papers and Record Books which shall be by him added in like good order and Repair with the Records & Entries faithfully legally and truly made up and entered during the Time he hath officiated in and Commissioned without favour or affection but according to the Truth the Nature of the Thing and the Duty of his office and all other the Duties of his said office legally duly and faithfull shall discharge according to Law and the true intent and meaning of the act of Assembly in such Cases made and provided that then the above Obligation to be Void and of none Effect or else to be and remain in full force and Virtue in Law Will.m Fitzhugh (LS) in the presence of James Dickinson (LS) James Brooks Richard Sprigg (LS) Eliz Vallette On the Back of the aforegoing Bond was thus endorsed Viz Be it Remembered that on the 23.d Day of September Anno Domini 1773 Before us the Subscribers Two of his Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court of Maryland Personally Appeared the within named James Brooks and Elie Vallette who made oath on the holy Evangels of Almighty God that they were present at the Execution of the within Bond or Writing Obligatory and did see the within named William Fitzhugh James Dickinson and Richard Sprigg Severally sign Seall and deliver the same as their Act and Deed to and for the Uses and purposes therein Mentioned Sworn before 12 sides W.m Hayward Dan of S.t Tho.s Jenifer You are hereby ordered Immediately to Enter the within Bond in the Provincial Court Land Records Given under our Hands this 23.d Day of September 1773 To M.r Reverdy Ghiselin W.m Hayward Clk of the Provincial Court Dan of S.t Tho.s Jenifer Recorded 23.d Day of September 1773 |
