(54) On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Endorsed Viz.t Received this twenty Eighth day of September one Thousand seven hundred and seventy before the Sealing and Delivery of the within Indenture of the within named Thomas Campbell the Sum of Two Thousand five hundred Pounds Sterling Money of Great Britain being the Consideration Money within mentioned Witness my hand Test Philip Thomas Lee John Campbell Be it remembered that on the Twenty eighth of September one Thousand seven hundred and Seventy the within Named John Campbell came before me one of his Lordships the Lord Proprietarys Justices of the Provincial Court and acknowledged the within Deed to be his Act and Deed and the Lands and Premisses therein mentioned to be the Estate and Property of the within named Thomas Campbell according to the Acts of Assembly in such Case made and Provided Philip Thomas Lee I Reverdy Ghiselin Deputy Notary Publick Constituted and Appointed by the Honourable Daniel Dulany Esquire Secretary and Notary Publick within this his Lordships the Right Honourable the Lord Proprietary his Province of Maryland duly Admitted and Sworn Dwelling at the City of Annapolis in the Province aforesaid Do hereby Certify and Attest that Philip Thomas Lee Esquire before whom the Deed hereunto annexed was acknowledged was at that Time and still is one of his Lordships the Right Honourable the Lord Proprietary his Justices of the Provincial Court of the said Province Legally Commissioned and Sworn and that to all Acknowledgments before him so made full Faith and Credit is and ought to be given in Justice Court and thereout In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Affixed the Usual Seal of Office this 28.th day of L S September Anno Domini 1770 Reverdy Ghiselin Maryland to wit Daniel Dulany Esquire Secretary and Notary Publick of the Province of Maryland in North America To all to whom these Presents shall come Greeting I do hereby certify that Reverdy Ghiselin the Person certifying Philip Thomas Lee Esquire to be one of the Right Honourable the Lord Proprietary his Justices of the Provincial Court of the Province of Maryland was at that Time and still is Deputy Notary Publick of the Province of Maryland and that to all Certificates by him so made & signed full Faith and Credit is and ought to be given in Justice Court and thereout In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Caused the Seal of the Secretarys Office to be hereto Affixed this 28.th Day of L S September Anno Domini 1770 Dan.l Dulany Maryland to wit Robert Eden Esquire Governor and Commander in Chief of the Province of Maryland in North America To all to whom these Presents shall come Greeting I do hereby certify that Daniel Dulany (Esquire) |
