531) behoof of the said Legh Master his Heirs and Assigns for ever and to and for no other use intent or purpose whatsoever Yeilding and paying unto the proper Lord or Lords of the Fee or Fees of the premises the rents and services therefore due and of right accustomed And the said William Buchanan and his Heirs all and singular the said Lands and premisses by these presents granted bargained and sold or meant mentioned or intended so to be unto the said Legh Master his Heirs and Assigns for ever against him the said William Buchanan and his Heirs and against all and every other person or persons whatsoever claiming or to claim the same premisses or any part thereof by from or under him them or any of them shall and will warrant and for ever defend by these presents In Witness whereof the said parties to these presents have hereunto interchangeably set their hands the day and year first above written Sealed and delivered in the presence of us W.m Buchanan (Seal) the Courses being chiefly wrote upon an erazure John Moale Tho Sam Pole On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Endorsed Viz.t Received on the day of the date of the within written Deed of and from the within named £ S D Legh Master the Sum of The sum of Twenty pounds circulating currency in full for the consideration money within mentioned to be paid to me Witness W.m Buchanan John Moale On the twentieth day of July in the year of our Lord One Thousand seven hundred and seventy appeared before us the subscribers two Magistrates for Baltimore County William Buchanan within named and acknowledged this Bargain and Sale to be his Act and Deed agreeable to Law and at the same time appeared before us Esther the wife of the said William Buchanan and being by us privately examined and out of the hearing of her said Husband did renounce release and relinquish all her Dower and thirds at common Law and right thereof of in and to the within granted Lands and premises and at the same time acknowledged that she did the same freely voluntarily and of her own accord and without being induced thereto by threats or ill usage of her said Husband or for fear of his displeasure Taken and acknowledged Before W.m Spear John Moale Received of M.r Legh Master Esquire the sum of Four pence Sterling for an Alienation fine due to Lord Propry by Virtue of a Commission from Dan.l of Saint Tho.s Jenifer Esq.r his said Lordships Agent and receiver General 9 Sides Jn.o Brice Recorded the 22.d Day of July 1773 |
