530 Received of M.r William Buchanan the sum of Four pence sterling for an alienation fine due to Lord Baltimore by Virtue of a Commission from Dan.l of Saint Tho.s Jenifer Esq.r his said Lordships Agent and receiver General 7¼ sides Jn.o Brice Clk Recorded the 22.d Day of July 1773 x.d Maryland fs.t This Indenture made the twentyeth day of of July in the year of our Lord One Thousand seven hundred and seventy three Between William Buchanan of Baltimore County and province of Maryland aforesaid merch.t of the one part and Legh Master of Frederick County Esquire of the other part Witnesseth that the said William Buchanan for and in consideration of the sum of Twenty pounds common circulating currency to him in hand well and truly paid by the said Legh Master at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge and confess and thereof and of and from the same and every part and parcel thereof doth fully clearly and absolutely acquit release exonerate and for ever discharge the said Legh Master his Heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns and each and every of them for ever by these presents Hath Granted bargained sold aliened and confirmed and by these presents Doth fully freely clearly and absolutely Grant bargain sell alien ratify and confirm unto the said Legh Master his Heirs and assigns for ever All that part of a Tract or parcel of Land called Brown's Plague situate lying and being in Frederick County aforesaid beginning at the end of forty eight perches on the South forty five Degrees West One hundred and fifty eight Perch line of the said Land called Brown's Plague it being the second line of a Tract of Land called Long Valley and running thence South forty five degrees west one hundred and ten perches to the end of the said line then North fifty seven perches west seven perches to a Tract of Land called Jacks Purchase and with said Land reversed North thirty nine degrees east one hundred and six perches to a marked white Oak on the south bank of Cobbs Branch then south fifty four degrees East eight perches then by a streight line to the place of beginning containing and laid out for eight acres one quarter and sixteen perches together with all and singular woods underwoods ways waters watercourses Hereditaments and other appurtenances whatsoever to the said Lands and premisses by these presents granted bargained and sold or meant mentioned or intended so to be lying belonging or in any wise appertaining and the reversion and reversions remainder and remainders yearly and other rents Issues and other profits of the said Lands and premisses and all the Estate right title Interest use trust property term claim and demand whatsoever of him the said William Buchanan therein or thereunto To Have and To Hold all and singular the said Lands and premises by these presents bargained and sold or meant mentioned or intended so to be unto the said Legh Master his Heirs and assigns for ever To the only proper use and behalf |
