528 construed adjudged expounded deemed and taken and so are & were meant and intended to be and enure & is & are hereby declared by all the said parties to these presents to be and enure and the Recoveror or Recoverors in such Recovery or Recoveries named or to be named & his and their Heirs & all and every other person and persons whatsoever shall stand and be seized of the said Lot or Portion of Ground hereby granted and released & all and singular the premisses with the appurtenances to the use and Behoof of the same James Williams his Heirs and Assigns for ever to and for no other use Intent or Purpose whatsoever In Witness whereof the parties to these presents have hereto interchangeably set their Hands and Seals the Day and year ^first^ above written The Expences of the Recovery to be defrayed equally by the same John Anderson & James Williams Sealed and delivered John Anderson (seal) on the premisses in the presence of Ja.s Williams (seal) W.m Steuart Ja Tilghman 3.d (seal) Rob.t Couden On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was thus endorsed viz.t Received on the Day & year first within written from the within James Williams the sum of Four hundred pounds Current Money being the Consideration Money within mentioned to be by him paid me John Anderson Test W.m Steuart Rob.t Couden On the twelfths Day of March 1773 Came before us the subscribers two of his Lordships Justices of the peace for Ann Arundel County the within John Anderson James Williams & James Tilghman the third and severally acknowledged the within Instrument of Writing to be their respective Act and Deed to & for the Uses Intents & purposes therein respectively specified 13 sides Recorded the 21.st of July 1773 W.m Steuart Rob.t Couden X.d This Indenture made the eighteenth day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and seventy three Between Edward Brown of Frederick County Farmer of the one part and William Buchanan of Baltimore County Merchant of the other part Witnesseth that the said Edward Brown for and in Consideration of the Sum of five shillings to him in hand paid the Receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged Hath granted bargained and sold aliened enfeoffed released and confirmed and by these presents Doth grant bargain and sell alien enfeoff release and confirm unto the said William Buchanan his Heirs and assigns all that Tract or parcel of Land being part of a Tract of Land called Browns Plague lying and being in Frederick County beginning for the said part at the End of forty eight perches on the South forty five Degrees West one hundred and fifty eight perch line of the whole original Tract it being the second Line of a Tract of Land called long valley and running thence South forty five Degrees West one hundred and ten perches to the End of said Line then North fifty seven |
