526 for the County aforesaid lawfully authorized and assigned to whom due Credit is and ought to be given in Justice Court and thereout In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my Hand and Affixed the 5½ sides (LS) Publick Seal of the County aforesaid this 5.th Day of July Annoque Domini 1773 Recorded the 6.th Day of July 1773 John Brice Clk A A Coty x.d This Indenture Made this twelfth Day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand Seven hundred and seventy three Between John Anderson of the City of Annapolis in Ann Arundel County in the province of Maryland Silversmith of the first part James Williams of the same place Merchant of the Second part and James Tilghman of Third of the same place of the third part Witnesseth that the same John Anderson for and in Consideration of the sum of Four hundred pounds Current money to him in hand paid by the Same James Williams at or before the Sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged and also for barring docking & distroying all estates Tails Reversions and Remainders thereon depending or expectant of and in all and Singular the Lands Tenements and Hereditaments herein after mentioned to be hereby granted bargained sold & released and for settling and assuring the same premisses to and for the Uses Intents and Purposes herein after mentioned expressed and declared of and concerning the same hath granted bargained sold aliened remised released enfeoffed and confirmed and by these presents the same John Anderson doth grant bargain sell alien remise release enfeoff and confirm unto the same James Williams his Heirs and Assigns (in his actual possession now being) all that part of a Lott or portion of Land together with the Edifices and Improvements contained within the following Courses viz.t Beginning at a certain post standing in a certain Lott Lying in the City of Annapolis aforesaid called Nicholson's Lott adjoining to the Ship Carpenters Lot and running from the said post in said Nicholsons Lott south thirty five degrees West eighty one feet four Inches to another post standing in the said Lott then running from this second post to the outward Bounds of the said Nicholsons Lott and another portion or Lot of Land adjoining to the former & lying in the City of Annapolis af.d called the sand Banck south East seventy one feet to high water mark of said Nicholsons Cove unto a third post and running from this third post by and with high water mark of the af.d Cove North forty two degrees East eighty three feet to a fourth post then running from this fourth post North forty Degrees and half a Degree West forty feet to a fifth part & from this fifth post running by a streight Line to the Beginning post |
