525 the said Catherine to John Worthington and for which same Part a Common Recovery was suffered and also all the Land added on a Resurvey of the said Tract as Vacancy and with the said Tract granted and confirmed by Patent or Confirmation under the great Seal to Orlando Griffith deceased this late Husband of her the said Catherine and her the same Catherine together with the said Tract still by the Name of Howards Luck and said by the said Patent of Confirmation to contain eight hundred and one Acres together with all Houses Buildings Orchards Ways Woods under Woods Waters Water Coue^r^ses Improvements Priviledges Advantages and Appurtenances whatsoever to the said Lands belonging or in anywise appertaining and all the Estate Right Title Interest Use Trust Property Possession Claim and Demand whatsoever of her the said Catherine Howard of in or to the same and every Part and Parcel thereof and Revertion and Revertions Remainder and Remainders Rents Issues and Profits thereof and of every Part and Parcel thereof To have and to hold the said Land and Premisses with their Rights and Members and Appurtenances to the aforesaid Thomas Snowden his Heirs and Assigns to the only proper Use and Behoof of the aforesaid Thomas Snowden his Heirs and Assigns for ever and to or for no other Use Intent or purpose whatsoever in Witness whereof the Parties to these Presents have hereunto interchangeably set their Hands and Affixed their Seals the Day and year first above written Signed Sealed and Delivered her in the Presence of Catherine | Griffith (LS) H Ridgely mark John Warfield Son of Jn.o On the back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Indorsed Viz.t April 9.th 1773 Received on the Day and year first above ^within^ written of and from the within written ^Named^ Thomas Snowden the Sum of Eleven Pounds Sterling Money being the Consideration Money within mentioned to be by him paid to me I say Received by Witness her H Ridgely Catherine | Griffith John Warfield Son of Jn.o mark On the twenty first Day of April 1773 came before us the Subscribers to of his Lordships Justices of the Peace for Ann Arundel County the within Named Catherine Griffith and Acknowledged the within Instrument of to be her Act and Deed and the Lands and Appurtenances therein mentioned to the Right Estate of the within Names Thomas Snowden his Heirs and Assigns for ever according to the true intent and meaning of the within Deed and the Act of Assembly in such Case made and Provided before John Burgess Jun.r Thomas Dorsey Maryland Ann Arundel Coty fs.t I hereby certify to all whom it may or doth concern that John Burgess Jun.r and Thomas Dorsey Gentlemen before whom the above Acknowledgement was taken were at the Time thereof and still are two of his Lordships the Lord Proprietarys Justices of the Peace (for) |
