515) E.d (LS) To all People to whom these presents shall come Allan Pearson of Liverpool in the County of Lancaster and Kingdom of Great Britain Merchant sendeth Greeting Whereas the said Allan Pearson did lately Contract and agree with Robinson Wakefield of North Shields in the County of Northumberland Gentleman and Ann his wife for the purchase of certain Plantations Tracts or parcels of Land or Ground situate and being in the province of Maryland in America hereinafter more particularly mentioned and described and the same have by Deed or Indenture duly executed bearing date the twenty first day of this Instance November One thousand seven hundred and seventy two and made between the said Robinson Wakefield and Ann his wife by their several Names and Additions therein mentioned of the one part and the said Allan Pearson of the other part well and sufficiently Granted bargained ^sold^ and conveyed unto the said Allan Pearson his Heirs and Assigns for ever And by a certain other Deed or Indenture duly executed bearing date the twenty third day of this same Month of November and made between the said Allan Pearson of the first part the said Robinson Wakefield and Ann his wife of the second part Henry Thompson of Baltimore Town in the said Province of Maryland Merchant of the third part and Samuel Owings of Baltimore Town aforesaid of the fourth part The said Plantations Lands and Hereditaments were and are Bargained sold ratified and Confirmed unto the said Henry Thompson his Heirs and Assigns To the intent and purpose nevertheless That one or more good and sufficient Common Recovery or Recoveries might be thereof suffered at the provincial Court of the said Province of Maryland according to the usage and Custom of the said Court The Uses whereof are hereby declared to be or in Trust for the said Allan Pearson his heirs and Assigns for ever And the said Allan Pearson being now minded and desirous to sell and dispose of the said Plantations Lands and hereditaments and having great Confidence in the Integrity and Abilities of the said Henry Thompson Therefore know Ye that He the said Allan Pearson hath made ordained constituted authorized and appointed Henry Thompson his true and lawfull Attorney for him and in his Name place and stead and on his behalf to enter into & upon and by all lawful ways and means whatsoever to take possession of All those plantations Tracts and parcels of Land or Ground situate and being in the said province of Maryland and mentioned and Compromized in the said several Deeds or Indentures above mentioned to wit All that plantation Tract or parcel of Land or Ground commonly called or known by the Name of Fell's Swarthmore containing by estimation One hundred and seventy five Acres One other plantation Tract or parcel of Land or Ground commonly called or known by the Name of Lancaster containing by estimation three hundred and seventy two acres one other plantation Tract or parcel of Land or Ground commonly called or known by the Name of Fells Date containing by estimation four hundred and ninety Six Acres One other Tract or parcel of Land or Ground commonly called or known by the Name of Darlington containing by estimation three hundred and sixteen Acres One other plantation Tract or parcel of Land or Ground commonly called or known by the name of Fells retirement containing by Estimation four hundred and seventy five Acres And also all that Messuage house or Tenement together with an |
