492 Mackall the sum of five shillings Current Money being the Consideration Money within mentioned to be by him paid to me Received by me Witness Nic Thomas J Rogers On the twenty third day of April seventeen hundred and twenty three Came before me the subscriber one of his Lordships Justices of the provincial Court the within named John Rogers and Thomas Mackall and severally acknowledged the within Deed to be their respective Act and Deed to and for the uses Intents and purposes therein mentioned and the Lands and premisses therein mentioned to be the right and Estate of the within named Thomas Mackall his Heirs and assigns for ever according to the true intent and meaning of the same Deed and the Act of Assembly in such Case made and provided before 8½ sides J Hepburn Recorded the 29.th day of April 1773 x.d To all to whom these presents shall Come Pleasance Goodwin of Baltimore County widow sendeth Greeting Whereas the said Pleasance Goodwin is seized and possessed of and in ten Acres of Land part of a Tract of Land called Timber Neck situate lying and being in Baltimore County for and during her Natural Life the Revertion whereof doth belong to Rachel Lyde Goodwin the daughter of the said Pleasance Goodwin Now Know Ye that I the said Pleasance Goodwin for and in Consideration of the Natural Love and affection which I have and bear to my said Daughter Rachel Lyde Goodwin and also in Consideration of the sum of one shilling sterling to her in hand paid by the said Rachel Lyde Goodwin the Receit whereof the said Pleasance Goodwin doth hereby confess and acknowledge she the said Pleasance Goodwin hath surrendered and yielded up and by these presents doth surrender and yield up unto the said Rachel Lyde Goodwin her Heirs and Assigns for ever the said piece or parcel of Land above mentioned And all the Estate Right Title Interest Claim and Demand whatsoever of her the said Pleasance Goodwin of in and to the same In Witness whereof The said Pleasance Goodwin hath hereunto set her hand and seal the twenty seventh of April in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and seventy three Signed sealed and Delivered in the presence of And Buchanan Pleasance Goodwin (seal) W.m Buchanan 2¼ Sides Recorded the 29.th of April 1773 x.d This Indenture made this first day of January Anno Domini Seventeen hundred and seventy three Between Henry Barnes of Ann Arundel County In the Province of Maryland Planter of the one part And William Russell of Baltimore County and Province affd Gentleman of the other part Witnesseth that the said Henry Barnes For and in Consideration of the sum of Four Hundred and thirty five Pounds twelve shillings and six pence sterling money of Great Britain to him in hand paid at or before |
