       plantations Tracts or parcels of Land or Ground in the province of Maryland in
       America and the other Deed or Indenture bearing date the twenty third day of this
       Instant November made between the said Allan Pearson of the first part the said
       Robinson Wakefield and Ann his wife of the second part Henry Thompson of Baltimore
       Town aforesaid Merchant of the third part and Samuel Owings of Baltimore Town aforesaid
       Merchant of the fourth part purporting to be a bargain Sale Ratification and
       confirmation from the said Allan Pearson and Robinson Wakefield and Ann his wife
       to the said Henry Thompson and his heirs of the said plantations Tracts or parcels of
       Land or Ground and also the letter of attorney bearing even date with the last
       mentioned Deed or Indenture and nominating and appointing John Hall Thomas
       Jennings and Samuel Chase three of the attorneys of the provincial Court of the
       said province of Maryland or any other attorney or attorneys of the said Court to
       appear and act for the said Robinson Wakefield and Ann his wife in the said Court
       for the purpose of suffering one or more Common Recovery or Recoveries of the said
       plantations Tracts pieces or parcels of Lands Tenements and Hereditaments
       And these Deponents further severally say that the names Robinson Wakefield
       and Ann Wakefield severally set as parties according the same Indentures
       and Letter of Attorney are respectively of the proper hands writing of the said
       Robinson Wakefield and Ann his wife and that the names or Characters W.m
       Cuthbert and Philip Gibson severally sett and subscribed as witnesses to the
       Execution thereof are of the proper hands writing of these presents respectively
       Sworn at the Town and County of Newcastle            W.m Cuthbert
       upon Tyne aforesaid the twenty third day
       of November in the year of our Lord one                   Philip Gibson
       thousand seven hundred and seventy two
    before me   John E Blackett Mayor

       To all to whom these presents shall come I John Erasmus Blackett Esquire
       Mayor of the Town of Newcastle upon Tyne in the County of the same Town
(LS) in the Kingdom of Great Britain Do hereby Certify that on the day of the date
       hereof the above named William Cuthbert and Philip Gibson personally came
       and appeared before me and they being persons well known and worth of good
       Credit did by solemn oath which they then took upon the Holy Evangelilsts
       of Almighty God before me solemnly depose to be true the several matters
       contained and mentioned in the above written Affidavit  And I do hereby
       further Certify that at the same time personally came and appeared before me
       the said ^Mayor^ Robinson Wakefield and Ann his wife the persons named in the ^two^ several
       Deeds or Indentures and Letter of Attorney hereto annexed and did severally
       acknowledge that they duly executed the same before the said William Cuthbert
       and Philip Gibson the subscribing witnesses thereto  And I do hereby
       further Certify that the said Ann Wakefield before she made such acknowledgement
