452 X.d This Indenture made this sixteenth day of April in the Year One thousand seven hundred and seventy three between Thomas Stone of Charles County Attorney at Law of the one part and John Lucas of Saint Mary's County of the other part Witnesseth that the said Thomas Stone for and in Consideration of five shillings Current Money to him in hand paid by the said John Lucas the Receipt whereof he the said Thomas Stone Doth hereby acknowledge and in pursuance of the Trusts reposed in him by the said John Lucas and a certain Ann Lucas his wife by their joint Deed bearing date the fifteenth day of April in the Year one thousand seven hundred and seventy three reference to the said Deed being had will appear And in execution of the said Trusts He the said Thomas Stone Hath Granted Bargained Sold aliened released enfeoffed and Confirmed and by these presents Doth Grant Bargain sell alien release enfeoff and confirm unto the said John Lucas his Heirs and Assigns for ever one undivided Moiety or Half part of in and into all those followings Tracts of Land lying and being in Saint Marys County that is to say one undivided Moiety or half part of all that Tract of Land lying and being in S.t Marys County called De le Brooke Mannor containing two Thousand Acres of Land more or less unto the Appurtenances Also one undivided Moiety or half part of all that ^tract^ of Land lying and being the same County called the Backland containing four Hundred Acres of Land more or less with the Appurtenances and also one undivided Moiety or half part of all That Tract lying and being in the same County called the Two Brothers containing two hundred and twenty five Acres of Land more or less with the appurtenances together with all houses outhouses woods ways Waters and Water cou^r^ses Profits Emoluments conveniences and Benefits whatsoever to the said Moiety of the said Lands and Premisses and every part thereof belonging or in any wise appurtaining And also all the Right Title Interest Estate Claim and Demand whatsoever of him the said Thomas Stone of in and to the said Moiety of the said Tracts of Land and Premisses and every part and parcell thereof and the Remainder and Remainders Reversion and Reversions Rents Issues and Profits of the said Moiety of the same Lands and Premisses and every part thereof with the appurtenances To Have and to hold the said undivided moiety or half part of the said Lands and every of them with their appurtenances to him the said John Lucas his heirs and Assigns for ever to the only use and Behoof of him the said John Lucas his Heirs and Assigns for ever as Tenant in Common with the said Ann Lucas of the said Tracts of Land and every of them and not as Jointenants In Witness whereof the said Thomas Stone hath hereto set his Hand and seal the day and year first aforesaid Signed Sealed and delivered in T Stone (seal) Presence of W.m Hayward Jacob Henderson Hindman On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Endorsed On the sixteenth day of April Annoq Dom 1773 Came the within named Thomas Stone before me the subscriber one of his Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court and acknowledged the within Indenture to be his Act and Deed and the Moiety of the Lands within mentioned to be the right Title and Estate of him the said John Lucas his Heirs and Assigns for ever according to the true Intent and Meaning of the said Indenture 6 Sides Recorded the 16.th of April 1773 W.m Hayward |
