442 and Seal Dated the day and year first above written Joseph Pennell (seal) Sealed & delivered in the presence of us Dan.l of S.t Tho.s Jenifer John Clarve On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was thus indorsed Viz.t Maryland March 24.th 1773 Then The within named Joseph Pennell party to the aforegoing Deed acknowledged the same as his Act and Deed and the Lands and premisses therein mentioned with the appurtenances to be the Right Title Interest and Estate of the within Named David McMurtrie his Heirs and Assigns according to the purport true intent and meaning of said Deed Before 14½ Sides Dan.l of S.t Tho.s Jenifer Recorded the 24.th of March 1773 x.d This Indenture made this 23.th day of November in the Yare of our Lord one thousand seven Aad seventy two between Thomas Slight of Baltimor County in the Province of Maryland of the Aad Job Garretson of said County & Province of the other part Witnesseth that the said Thomas Sligh for and in consideration of the Sum of [illegible] Pounds current Money to him in hand Payd by the said Job Garretson the Receipt of which he the said Thomas Sligh doth acknowledge And himself therewith to be fully Satisfied Contented and paid and the said Thomas Slige By these presents doth give grant bargain sell alien Enfeoff & confirm unto him the said Job Garretson and his heirs for Ever all that Part of a Tract of Land called and known By the Name of Coles harbour or Todds Range lying and being in Baltimore County Beginning at bridge street and at the Southermust End of Lot N.o four Near to the Bridge and Runing with said Lot N.o four to the Extent of said Lott till it Enter See lott N.o five then with said Lott untill it Entersex a Street called Street then with Said Street into the falls Called Joneses falls then up and with said Falls unto the afoursaid bridge and Street then with Said bridge Street to the first Begining for all that Lott N.o One hundred and Eighteen Laid out for Eightty six square perches more or less to have and to hold the aforesaid Land and premises with its appurtenances and every part and parcell thereof unto him the said Job Garretson and his heirs for ever and to this and their only proper use and behoofe and the said Thomas Sligh for himself his Heirs and Assigns doth Covenant and agree to and with the said Job Garretson and His heirs that he the said Thomas Sligh is lawfully and rightfully seized in his own right of a good Sure perfect absolute & indefeazible Estate of Inheritance in Fee simple of and in all and Singular The premises aboventioned with the appurtenances with the appurtenances without any manner of Condition Mortgage limitation or other Matter or thing to alter Charge or dermine the same And the said Thomas Sligh and his heirs the aforesaid parcel of Land & premises with its appurtenances shall and will warrant and defend against any person or persons Claiming by from or under him or |
