       Thomas Harrison the sum of fifty seven pounds Sterling being the Consideration Money
       within mentioned to be by him paid me      I say Received by      Cha Carroll

                      On the fourth Day of January seventeen hundred and seventy three came before
       me the Subscriber one of the Proprietaries Justices of the Provincial Court the within
       Named Charles Carroll and Acknowledged the within Instrument of Writing to be his Act
       and Deed and the Lott of Ground Premises and Appurtenances within Mentioned to be
       Right and Estate of the within Named Thomas Harrison his Heirs and Assigns
       for ever  According to the true Intent and Meaning of the within Deed and the Act of
       Assembly in such case made and provided               Before

       Reced of Thomas Harrison the sum of fourteen pence Sterling Money for use of the
       Proprietor being the Alienation fine on the within Land by Virtue of a Commission
       from Dan.l of S.t Tho.s Jenifer Esq.r his the said Proprietor's Agent and Receiver General

       To all Persons to whom these Presents shall come Greeting  Whereas a certain
       Edward Norwood late of Ann Arundel County deceased (who by his last Will and
       Testament nominated and appointed Edward Norwood his Son Executor thereof) did
       by his Deed of Mortgage to a certain John Brice late of said County deceased (who by his
       last Will and Testament appointed Sarah Brice his wife Executrix thereof) bearing Date
      on the ninth Day of March in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and sixty
       one and inrolled in the Provincial Court Land Records in Lib B.T. N.o 4 Feb 221 222
       223 and 224  Reference being thereto had may more fully and at large appear for the
       Consideration therein mentioned grant, bargain, and sell, unto the said John Brice and his
       Heirs all that Moiety or half Part of a Tract of Land called the united Friendship lying
       on the North Side of Patapsco River in Baltimore County originally granted unto a
       certain John Larkin contained within the Metes, Bounds, Courses and Distances in
       the said Deed expressed also forty five Acres of Land called Addition to the united Friendship
       also all that Tract or Parcel of Land lying in Baltimore County aforesaid called Norwo^o^ds
       Birmingham containing one hundred Acres more or less also all that Tract or Parcel of
       Land called Addition to Forbearance containing fifty four Acres of Land more or less also
       all that Part of a Tract of Land called Batchelor's Fare containing one hundred and twenty
       Acres of Land more or less  To have and to hold the said several Tracts or Parcels of
       land to him the said John Brice and his Heirs upon the Conditions Provisoes and Limitations
       in the same Deed inserted and expressed  Now Know Ye That I the said
       Sarah Brice Executrix as aforesaid for and in Consideration of the Sum of three hundred and
       twenty six Pounds Sterling to Me in Hand paid by the said Edward Norwood Executor
       as aforesaid the Receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge and the said Edward Norwood hereof
       and therefrom acquit and discharge have remised, released, and for ever quit Claim and by
       these Presents do remise, release and for ever quit Claim unto him the said Edward Norwood
       and his Heirs all my Estate Right Title Interest Use Possession, Property, Claim
       and Demand whatsoever in Law and in Equity of, in and to the said Several Tracts
       or Parcels of Land in the said above recited Deed of Mortgage mentioned and contained by
