422 Said Margaret Murdock of in & to those Lots or Portions of Ground in that Part of Annapolis Called The New Town which Said Lots or Portions of Ground a Certain Alexander Hamilton Doctor of Physick and first Husband of the said Margaret purchased of a Certain Charles Carrol late of ^the^ said City deceased and by his last Will & Testament devised to the said Margaret or by whatever Ways or Means the said Alexander Hamilton became possessed of the same with all Houses Gardens & all other Improvements & Appurtenances thereon or thereunto belonging To Have and To Hold to him the said Richard Sprigg his Heirs & Assigns for ever to their own proper Use Behoof and to no other Use Intent or Purpose whatsoever and the said Margaret Murdock Doth Covenant and Agree to & with the said Richard Sprigg his Heirs and Assigns that said Margaret Murdock the Bargained Lots of Land & Premisses to the said Richard Sprigg from her the Said Margaret Murdock and her Heirs and from all Person's claiming by from or under Her will warrant & for ever defend In Witness whereof the Said Margaret Murdock Hath Hereunto set her Hand & Seal the Day & Year above Written Signed Sealed & Delivered Margaret Murdock (LS) in the Presence of Walter Dulany Mary Dulany The above Deed was thus Endorsed to wit July 1772 Reced of the within Named Richard Sprigg Esq.r five Hundred Pounds Sterling being the Consideration Money within Mentioned Witnesses Walter Dulany Mary Dulany Margaret Murdock July 10.th 1772 Then was the Within Deed Acknowledged According to Law before me one of the ^Justices of the^ Provincial Court of Maryland by Margaret Murdock Party to the Same Recorded 29.th December 1772 Dan of S Tho.s Jenifer 4 Sides x.d This Indenture Made this 20.th Day of July one thousand Seven Hundred and Seventy two Between Daniel Dulany of Annapolis Esquire eldest Son & Heir at Law of Daniel Dulany Late of Annapolis Esquire deceased on the One part & Richard Sprigg of Dorchester County Esquire on the Other Part Whereas it has been Represented to the first named Daniel Dulany that His Aforesaid Father and Ancestor had promised to convey & Make Over Unto the Daughter Margaret now Margaret Murdock Widow & Relict of William Murdock late of Prince Georges County Esq.r deceased all the Estate Right & Title of him the said Daniel Dulany deceased in and to one Lott or Portion of Ground in that Part of Annapolis Called the New Town Number 6 & part of Lot Number D on the East Side of the former Lott with all Houses Gardens and all other Improvements and Appurtenances thereon or thereunto Belonging but the said Daniel Dulany departed this Life Without having as aforesaid (Conveyed) |
