398 The aforegoing Deed was thus Endorsed Viz.t Received the 11.th day of March 1772 of the within Named Anthony Stewart the Sum of Thirty nine pounds and eighteen Shillings being the Consideration £39 18 Money within mentioned Witness Tho.s McNemara Nat Richardson Jam.s Carmichael Ja.s Hanrick On the 9.th day of July 1772 Came before me the Subscriber one of the Justices of the Provincial Court James Hanrick & made Oath on the Holy Evangels that he saw Thomas Macnemara party to the within Deed sign seal and deliver the same & that he together with James Carmichael & Nathaniel Richardson Subscribed the said Deed as Evidences Dan of S.t Tho.s Jenifer On the Ninth day of July 1772 Charles Wallace & James Dundass by Virtue of the within Power Acknowledged the within Deed to be the Act & Deed of Thomas Macnemara party to within Instrument of Writing and the Land & premisses therein mentioned to be ^the^ Right & Estate of the within named Anthony Stewart his Heirs & Assigns for ever according to the purport true intent & meaning of said Deed and the Act of Assembly in such made & provided Before Dan of S.t Tho.s Jenifer Oct.r 13.th 1772 Received of M.r Anthony Stewart the sum of One Shilling and seven pence Sterling for an Alienation fine due to Lord Baltimore by Virtue of a Commission from Dan.l of S.t Tho.s Jenifer Esq.r his said Lordships Agent and Receiver General 9 sides Jn.o Brice Clk Ex.d This Indenture made this Sixteenth Day of October Seventeen hundred and Seventy two Between William Paca of the City of Annapolis Attorney and Mary his Wife of the one part and John Laypold of the said City Baker of the other part Whereas Henrietta Maria Dulany by her last Will and Testament Devised to Margaret Bordley and the aforesaid Mary Paca all the Real Estate devised to her by her Daughter Henrietta Maria Dorsey which lies in the said City of Annapolis And whereas Equal Partition has been made between the said Margaret and Mary by writt of Partition and Judgment final Rendered the last September Term Now this Indenture Witnesseth that the said William Paca and Mary his wife for and in Consideration of the sum of One hundred and twenty eight Pounds Currency to them in hand paid the Receipt whereof they do hereby acknowledge have and each of them hath bargained and sold released and Confirmed and do and (each) |
