396 all my Right Title and Interest of in and to the said Judgment And all and every sum and sums of Money by Virtue thereof to be recovered and made out of the Estate of the said Edward Fell or otherwise unto the said John Deaver his Exors Admors and Assigns And hereby impower him either in my Name or in his own Name to use all legal Ways and Means for the receiving the Money due on the said Judgment And when he shall have Received the same by any means or ways to give the legal and proper Discharges therefor Witness my hand and seal the 6.th Sept.r 1771 Sealed & Delivered in Isaac Few (seal) the Presence of Owen Allen The above Assignment was thus Endorsed viz.t I do hereby Certify that I was present on Saturday the 7.th instant in the Cabbin of the Snow Baltimore Commanded by Capt James Phillips lying at Fells Point when the within named John Deaver Demanded payment of a Certain James Giles for the within Sum of Money and Interest The said James Phillips and the within Named Isaac Few being present at the time the Demand was made in these words (Viz.t) M.r Giles you'l see by this (shewing him the within Assignment) that I have bought that Judgment from M.r Few and I now Demand payment of you for the sum of Two hundred and Ninety four pounds sixteen shillings and Eight pence sterling with Interest for the same from September 1769 and I now forbid you to pay the same to any person Except to myself or my Order which I am ready to Attest As Witness my hand this 12.th day of September 1771 Ish.l Morris 4¼ sides Oct.r 6 1772 then came the above named Ish.l Morris before me the Subscriber one of his Lordships Justices for Baltimore County and made oath on the Holy Evangels of Almighty God that what is Contained in the above Certificate is just and true Jon.a Plowman x.d This Indenture made the Eleventh day of March in the Year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and seventy two Between Thomas McNemara late of the Province of Maryland now in London Surgeon of the one part and Anthony Stewart of Ann Arundel County in the province of Maryland (at present in London) Merchant of the other part Witnesseth that the said Thomas McNemara for and in Consideration of the Sum of Thirty nine pounds and eighteen shillings of good and lawfull money of Great Britain to him in hand paid by the said Anthony Stewart at or before the ensealing and delivery of these presents the Receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge and of and from every part and parcell thereof doth clearly and absolutely acquit and Discharge the said Anthony Stewart his Heirs Executors and Administrators and every of them by these presents Hath Granted Bargained Sold Aliened Enfeoffed Released and Confirmed and by these presents Doth Grant Bargain Sell |
