       Money with legal Interest for the same on or before the first Day of January next ensuing
       the Date of hereof then and from thenceforth these presents & every Matter and Thing
       therein contained shall cease and be utterly null and void any Thing herein contained
       to the contrary thereof in any wise notwithstanding and the said John Barnes Son of
       Adam for himself his Heirs Executors and Administrators doth covenant promise grant  
       and agree to and with the said William Russell his Executors Administrators and
       Assigns in Manner and Form following (that is to say) that he the said John
       Barnes Son of Adam his Executors or Administrators or some of them shall & will
       well and truly pay or Cause to be paid unto the said William Russell his Executors
       Administrators or Assigns the said Sum of two hundred and twenty five pounds
       sterling and two hundred Pounds Current Money with legal Interest as aforesaid
       on the Day herein before limited for Payment thereof      In Testimony whereof
       the said John Barnes Son of Adam hath hereto set his Hand and Seal the Day and
       Year first above written

       On the second Day of September 1772  Came John Barnes Son of Adam Party to the within
       Deed before us the Subscribers two of his Lordships Justices of the Peace for Ann Arundel
       County and acknowledged the within Deed of Mortgage to be his Act and Deed and the several
       Tracts or Parts or Parcels of Land therein mentioned to be the Right Title and Estate
       of him the within named William Russell his Heirs and Assigns according to the true Intent
       and Meaning of the said Writing and the Act of Assembly in such Case made & provided
                                                                                        acknowledged before
                                                                                        The Words "Party to the within Deed"
