331 On the twenty fifth day of May seventeen hundred and seventy two Came before us the Subscribers two of His Lordships Justices of the Peace for Ann Arundel County the above mentioned James Dick and Acknowledged the above mentioned Lancelot Jacques Upton Scott Nicholas Maccubbin Nathan Hammond and James Bryce Trustees of the Poor for Ann Arundel County and their successors forever according to the true intent and meaning of this his Deed R Ghiselin William Stewart May the 29.th 1772 Received of M.r Lancelot Jacques the sum of two pence half penny sterling for an alienation fine due to Lord Baltimore by Virtue of a Commission from Daniel of Saint Thomas Jenifer his Lordships agent and receiver General Jn.o Brice Recorded the 23.d day of June 1772 Ex.d This Indenture made the twenty Second Day of June in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and seventy two Between Ulrick Ekler & Jacob Ekler of Baltimore County in the Province of Maryland of the one Part and Christian Bower of Frederick County in Province aforesaid 9 sides of the other Part Witnesseth that the said Ulrick Ekler & Jacob Ekler for and in Consideration of the Sum of one hundred Pounds Current Money to them in Hand paid by the said Christian Bower paid the Receipt whereof the said Ulrick Ekler and Jacob Ekler doth hereby acknowledge and themselves therewith fully satisfied contented and paid hath granted bargained sold alined enfeoffed and confirmed and by these Presents doth grant bargain sell alien enfeoffe and confirm unto the said Christian Bower his Heirs and Assigns forever all that Part of a Tract of Land called North Canton lying and being in each of the Counties aforesaid which is contained within the following Metes and Bounds Courses and Distances Viz.t Begining at two bounded white Oaks standing on the South side of a Mill Dam and on a Rock Stone marked with the Letters G B and runing thence North twenty Seven Degrees East ten Perches South eighty eight Degrees West twelve Perches North seventy six Degrees West eighteen perches North forty eight Degrees West four perches North twenty nine Degrees East twenty eight Perches South fifty Degrees East sixteen Perches unto the Begining of the tenth Course of the whole Tract called North Canton aforesaid then bounding on said Course North five Degrees East forty two Perches then North thirty Degrees and thirty Minutes West forty two Perches South ten Degrees East fifty nine Perches South twenty nine Degrees West Sixty Perches North forty eight Degrees West forty four Perches South thirty Perches South West Sixty Perches North seventy nine Degrees East seventeen Perches South twenty Degrees East thirty eight Perches (North) |
