328 London to wit Hugh Atkinson Clerk to M.r Abraham Ogier of London Notary Publick maketh Oath that he was present and did see James Russell John Buchanan Walter Ewer and John Ewer by the Stile and Addition of James Russell John Buchanan Walter Ewer and John Ewer of London Merchants Joint Proprietors of the Nottingham Iron Works in Baltimore County in the Province of Maryland Severally sign seal and as their Act and Deed in due form of Law Execute and Deliver the Original Procuration or Letter of Attorney hereunto annexed bearing date the sixty Day of this Instant Month of March and made to Charles Graham of Lower Malborough in the Province of Maryland aforesaid Merchants and Copartners to and for the uses and purposes therein mentioned nd that thereupon he this Deponent together with Aimé Deflesche did sell and Subscribe their names as witnesses to the Execution thereof as thereby doth and may appear Sworn the 7.th Day of H Atkinson March 1775 Before me W.m Nash Mayor to all to whom these presents shall come I William Nash Esquire Lord Mayor of the City of London In Pursuance of an act of Parliament made and Passed in the fifth Year of the reign of his Late Majesty King George the Second Intituled an Act for the more easy Recovery of Debts in his Majestys Plantations and Colonies in America Do hereby Certify that on the Day of the Date hereof personally came and appeared before me Hugh Atkinson the Deponent named in the Affidavit hereunto annexed being a person well known and worthy of Good Credit and by Solemn Oath which the said Deponent then took before me upon the Holy Evangelists of Almighty God Did Solemnly and Sincerely declare testify and depose to be true the Several Matters and things mentioned and contained in the said annexed Affidavit In Faith and Testimony whereof I the said Lord Mayor have caused the seal of Mayoralty of the said City of London to be hereunto put and Affixed and the Letter (LS) of Attorney mentioned and referred to in and by the said Affidavit to be hereunto also annexed Dated in London the Seventh Day of March in the Year of our Lord One thousand Seven hundred and seventy two Hodges Recorded 12.th Day of June 1772 |
