327 x.d 8 sides By this Publick Instrument of Procuration or Letter of Attorney be it known that on the sixty Day of March in the Year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and Seventy two Before me Abraham Ogier Notary Publick dwelling in London duly admitted and Sworn in the presence of the Witnesses hereafter named personally appeared Mess.rs James Russell John Buchanan Walter Ewer and John Ewer of London Merchants Joint Proprietors of the Nottingham Iron Works in Baltimore ^County^ in the Province Maryland Who Declared to have made Ordained Constituted and Appointed and by these presents do make Ordain Constitute and Appoint Charles Grahame of Lower Marlborough in the Province of Maryland Esq.r and James Dick and Anthony Stewart of Annapolis in the Province of Maryland aforesaid Merchants and Copartners their true and Lawfull Attorneys giving and Hereby granting unto the said Attorneys Jointly and Severally full power and Lawfull Authority for them the said Constituents in their names and on their Behalf to manage conduct and carry on the said Iron Works to the best advantage of them the said Constituents and giving the necessary Orders to the Workmen and Persons employed therein And to discharge such of them as their said Attorneys or any of them shall find necessary and to hire and employ others in their stead to recover and receive of all whom it may concern in Maryland aforesaid or Elsewhere in North America all such sum and Sums of Money as may be due and oweing the Ballance thereof to receive and if need be to sue and prosecute for the same by due course of Law Until payment and satisfaction shall be Obtained And Generally in the Premisses to do perform and execute all and whatsoever shall be requisite and Necessary in as full and Ample manner to all intents and purposes as they the said Constituents might or could do if they were personally present Also with power to substitute one or more Attorney or Attorneys under them with like or limitted power and the same again to revoke they the said Constituents hereby promising to ratify and Confirm all and whatsoever their said Attorneys Jointly or their Severally or their Substitute or Substitutes shall Lawfully do or cause to be done in or about the Premisses by Virtue hereof Thus done and Passed in London aforesaid in the presence of Hugh Atkinson and Aimé Deflecher Witnesses Sealed and Delivered (being first duly stampt) James Russell (seal) in the presence of John Buchanan (seal) H Atkinson Walter Ewer (seal) Aimé Defleche Notary Publick John Ewer (seal) Seal In præmissorum fidem Abra.s Ogier Not.s Pub.s 1772 |
