325 effectually to all Intents and Purposes as the said John and Sarah Brice or either of them their or either of their Heirs Executors Administrators or Assigns could or might have holden or enjoyed the same if these Presents had not been made subject Nevertheless to such Equity of Redemption as the said Joseph Ensor his Heirs Executors or Administrators now have or hath or can or may have therein by Virtue of or under the abovesaid Proviso's or Agreement's in the said recited Indentures contained for Redemption of the Premisses aforesaid In Witness whereof the Parties have hereunto interchangeably set their Hands and affixed their Seals the Day and Year first above written Signed Sealed & delivered Sarah Brice (Seal) in the Presence of Ann Brice John Brice (Seal) Dan of S.t Tho.s Jenifer Ap.l 28 1772 Came John Brice and Sarah Brice before me the Subscriber one of his Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court and acknowledged the within Instrument of Writing to be their Act & Deed to and for the Uses and Purposes therein mentioned before Dan of S.t Tho.s Jenifer Recorded 5.th Day of May 1772 This Indenture made this twenty third Day of May in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and seventy two Between John Dawley of Anne Arundel County in the Province of Maryland of the one Part and James Dick of London Town in Anne Arundel County af.d Merchant of the other Part Witnesseth that the same John Dawley for and in Consideration of the sum of one hundred Pounds Current Money to him in Hand paid by the same James Dick at or before the sealing & Delivering of these Presents the Receipt and Payment whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained sold aliened enfeoffed and confirmed and by these Presents doth grant bargain sell alien enfeoffe and confirm unto the same James Dick his Heirs and Assigns all that Tract or Parcell of Land called Dawley's Range lying and being in Baltimore County Beginning at a bounded red Oak standing on a Hill to the North West of the Head of a Branch descending into Beaver Run it being a Draught of the great Falls of Potapsco and running thence South fifty five Degrees West one hundred & sixty Perches South thirty five Degrees East one hundred Perches North fifty five Degrees East one hundred and sixty Perches and thence by a straight Line to the Beginning containing one hundred Acres of Land more or less together with all and singular the Houses Buildings Improvements Ways Woods Priviledges Advantages Commodities and Appurtenances whatsoever to the same belonging or in anywise appertaining and the Reversion and Reversions Remainder (and) |
