322 the eldest Son of my present Wife & for divers other Causes & Considerations me thereunto especially moving hath given granted aliened enfeoffed and confirmed & by these presents doth give grant alien enfeoffe & confirm unto the said Richard his Heirs and Assigns all those two Tracts or parcels of Lands the one called Paschal's Chance the other called Barron Point agreeable to their antient Meets & Bounds & as formerly purchased by Doct.r Will.m Lock of a certain James McIntosh who formerly purchased the same of a certain Robert Gott together with all the Improvements thereon or any ways appertaining & all the Estate Right Title Interest Property Benefitts Claim & Demands whatsoever of me the said David Weems of in or to the said Land & Premisses & every of the Appurtenances to have & to hold the said Land & Premisses unto the said Richard his Heirs and Assigns forever to be hold of the Chief Lord of the Fee on the Condition exprest in the original Pattent of said Land & the said David Weems for himself his Heirs &c doth covenant promise & grant to & with the said Richard his Heirs & Assigns by these presents that he the said Rich.d his Heirs & Assigns shall & lawfully may from Time to Time & at all Times hereafter peaceably & quietly have hold use occupy possess & enjoy the said Lands Tenements & Hereditaments with all and every of the Appurtenances thereunto belonging without the Let Trouble Hinderance or Molestation of the said David Weems his Heirs or Assigns or any other person whatsoever Claiming by from or under him In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my Hand & affixt my Seal this twenty ninth Day of April Anno Dom.i one thousand seven hundred and seventy two Sign'd seal'd & delivered In the presents of D Weems (LS) John Weems Rich.d Harwood Jun On the Back of the above Deed was thus endorsed to wit Memorandom That on the 29 Day of Ap.l Came before us the Subscribers two of his Lordships Justices of Ann.l County Court the within named David Weems & acknowledged the within Deed according to Law at same Time Came Ester the Wife of said David who being seperately examined out of the Hearing of her said Husband did freely and voluntarily release and give up all her Right of Dower unto the said Lands and premisses without the Threats or Compulsion of her said Husband or for Fear of his Displeasure In Testimony whereof we have hereunto subscribed our Names the Day & Date above written John Weems Rich.d Harwood Jun.r Recorded the 1.st Day of May 1772 |
