318 by from or under him the said William Waters shall and will and forever by these presents defend In Witness whereof the Parties aforesaid have to these Presents interchangeably sett their Hands and Seals the Day and Year first above written Signed Sealed and delivered in Presence of Hellen Footell William Waters (LS) Joshua Frazier (On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was thus endorsed to Wit) Received this 20 Day of April seventeen hundred and seventy two of the within named Nathan Waters the Sum of two hundred Pounds Current Money in full for the Consideration within mentioned p me William Waters On the 20 Day of April seventeen hundred and seventy two came before ^me^ the Subscriber one of the Provincial Justices the within named William Waters and acknowledged the within Instrument of Writing to be his Act and Deed and the Lands and Premisses therein mentioned to be the Right and Estate of the within named Nathan Waters his heirs and Assigns forever according to the true Intent and Meaning of the same Writing and the Act of Assembly in such Cases made and provided W.m Hayward Ann Arundel County to wit April 28.th 1772 Received of M.r Nathan Waters the Sum of two Pence Sterling being an Alienation Fine due to his Lordship on the within Land by Virtue of a Commission from Daniel of S.t Thomas Jenifer Agent and Receiver General Test John Brice Recorded the 30.th Day of April 1772 x.d This Indenture tripartite made this twentieth Day of February in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and seventy two Between Prior Theobald of Bedford County 18½ sides in the Province of Pensylvania Gentleman at present in the Province of Maryland of the one part James Key of Charles County in the province of Maryland aforesaid Attorney at Law of the second part and Thomas Stone Esquire of the province aforesaid Attorney at Law of the third part Witnesseth that for and in Consideration of the Sum of ten Shillings Sterling Money of Great Britain to the said Prior Theobald in Hand well and truly paid by the said (James) |
