       Know all Men by these Presents that I Thomas Philpot of London Merchant have
       made ordained constituted and appointed and by these Presents do make ordain constitute and
¼ sides       appoint Frank Luke of Upper Marlborough in the Province of Maryland Merchant and
       Ralph Fo^r^ster of Pig Point in the same Province Merchant my true and lawful Attorneys
       giving and by these Presents granting unto my said Attorneys jointly and severally full
       Power and lawful Authority for me the said Thomas Philpot in my Name and on my Behalf
       to sell and dispose of all such Houses Lands and Estates in the said Province of Maryland or
       else wherein America belonging to me the said Thomas Philpot by private or publick Sale
       to such Person or Persons and for such Consideration Sum or Sums of money as my said
       Attorneys jointly and severally shall think proper and upon Receipt of the Consideration
       Money to arise by such Sale or Sales in the Name of me the said Thomas Philpot to
       sign seal execute and deliver all necessary Deed or Deeds of Leases and Releases Assignments
       and Conveyances of the said Houses Lands and Estates with the Appurtenances thereunto
       belonging to the Purchaser or Purchasers thereof with the usual Covenants & Warrantees and to
       acknowledge the same as the Act and Deed Acts and Deeds of me the said Thomas Philpot in
       any Court or Courts of Record according to the Laws and Customs of the Province  Also for me the
       said Thomas Philpot in my name and on my Behalf to ask demand and receive of and from
       all and every Person and Persons whom it doth or may concern all such Sum and Sums of Money
       Goods Wares Merchandize Effects and Things whatsoever or which he they or any of them now
       have or may hereafter have in his their or any of their Hands Custody or Possession due owing
       payable or belonging to me the said Thomas Philpot whether by Bond Note Bill Book Debt Account
       Consignment or otherwise howsoever Nothing excepted or reserved and for the Purposes
       aforesaid to account and to view state settle and adjust all accounts and the Balances thereof
       to receive upon Receipts to give one or more Acquittances or other sufficient Discharge in due
       Form of Law But in Case of Refusal or Delay by any Person or Persons whom it doth or may
       concern to make and render just and true Account Payment Delivery and Satisfaction in the
       Premisses him them and every of them thereunto to compell and for that Purpose in the
       Name of me the said Thomas Philpot to appear before all Lords Judges and Justices in any
       Court or Courts at Law or in Equity there to answer defend and reply in all Matters and
       Causes touching and concerning the Premisses to do say sue pursue seize arrest attack implead
       imprison and to condemn and out of Prison again to deliver  Also if need by to compound compromise
       conclude and agree by Arbitration or otherwise and generally in the Premisses to
       do perform transact and accomplish all and whatever shall be requisite and necessary as
       fully and effectually to all Intents and Purposes as I the said Thomas Philpot might or
       could do being personally present with Power to my said Attorneys jointly and severally to substitute
       one or more Person or Persons to act under them or either of them and the same at Pleasure
       to revoke and I the said Thomas Philpot do hereby promise to ratify and confirm all and whatever my
       said Attorneys jointly or severally or their or either of their Substitutes shall lawfully do or cause
       to be done in the Premisses by Virtue of these Presents  In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my
       Hand and Seal the seventeenth Day of March one thousand Seven hundred and seventy
       sealed and delivered
