       own accord without being induced thereto by the Threats of her said Husband
       or the Fear of his Displeasure taken & acknowledged before me the Day & Year

       Reced the Sum of twenty four Shillings Sterling for the within Land for
       use of Lord Baltimore by Virtue of a Commission from Daniel of S Tho.s Jenifer
       Esq.r his said Lordships Agent & Receiver General

                               Recorded the 30th Day of November 1771

             This Indenture made the twenty eight Day of August in the Year
       of our Lord one thousand seven hundred & seventy one  Between John Buchanan
       of the City of London Merchant of the one Part & James Dick of Ann
       Arundel County in the Province of Maryland Merchant of the other Part
       Whereas by certain Indentures of Lease & Release bearing Date respectively
       on or about the first & second Days of August in the Year of our Lord one thousand
       seven hundred & fifty four the said Indenture of Lease being made between
       James Wardrop late of the said Province of Maryland in America Merchant but
       at present Resident in the City of London Merchant of the other
       Part  And the said Indenture of Release being made of three Parts between
       the said James Wardrop by the Name & Addition of James Wardrop of the
       Province of Maryland in America Merchant but at present Resident in
       the City of London in the Kingdom of Great Britain of the first Part a
       certain James Johnson by the Name & Addition of James Johnson of the
       City of Glasgow in North Britain Merchant of the second Part & the
       aforesaid John Buchanan ^by the name & addition of John Buchanan^ of the City of London Merchant of the
       third Parts he the said James Wardrop for & upon the Considerations
       & for securing the Monies therein mentioned did grant bargain sell
       assign transfer set over alien remise release & confirm unto him the
       said John Buchanan his Heirs Executors Administrators & Assigns amongst
       other Things All that one full & equal undivided fourth Part
       or Share of him the said James Wardrop (the whole into four equal Parts
