276 X.d Maryland fs This Indenture made this 18th Day of November in the Year of our Lord God one thousand seven hundred and one Between Ignatius Digges of Prince Georges County in the Province of Maryland Esq.r on the one Part & the Reverend George Hunter of Charles County of the aforesaid Province of the other Part Witnesseth that the said Ignatius Digges Hath for & in Consideration of the Sum of six hundred Pounds Sterling to him in Hand paid by the abovesaid George Hunter the Receipt whereof the said Ignatius Digges doth hereby acknowledge Hath given granted bargained sold aliened enfeoffed confirmed & made over as by these Presents he the said Ignatius Digges doth for himself & his Heirs give grant bargain sell alien enfeoff confirm & make over unto the said George Hunter his Heirs & Assigns for ever, all that Tract or Parcel of Land called Mountain Prospect lying in Frederick County containing six hundred acres more or less originally granted on or about the twenty eighth Day of June Anno Domini one thousand seven hundred forty & five unto the Reverend Thomas Digges Together with all Houses & Improvements thereon or thereto belonging ^to the only proper Use & Behoof of him the said George Hunter his Heirs & Assigns To have & to hold ^the Land & Premises aforesaid^ all & singular the Improvements Conveniencies & Advantages thereon or thereto belonging^ or in any ways appertaining unto him the said George Hunter his Heirs & Assigns for ever In Witness whereof the said Ignatius Digges hath hereunto set his Hand & Seal the Day & Year first above written Ignatius Digges (Seal) Signed Sealed & delivered in the Presence of J Hepburn Sam Hepburn On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was thus endorsed to wit November 18th 1771 Received of the Reverend M.r George Hunter Six hundred Pounds Sterling in full Satisfaction for the Consideration of the Lands conveyed in the within Deed by me Witness Ignatius Digges J Hepburn Sam Hepburn Maryland fs Nov y.e 18th 1771 Then came before me one of his Lordship's Justices of the Provincial Court Ignatius Digges Partie to the 4½ within Deed & acknowledged the same to be his Act & Deed for the Uses within mentioned the Year & Day above written At the same Time Mary wife to the said Ignatius Digges being by me privately examined & out of the Hearing of her said Husband acknowledged that she relinquished all her Right of Dower in the said Land freely voluntarily & of her (own) |
