275 Received on the Day & Year first within written of & from the within named Anthony Stewart the Sum of thirty one Pounds ten Shillings £ S D of lawful Money of Great Britain in full for the Consideration 31 10 0 Money within mentioned to be paid by him to me Witness Will M.cGachen By me Tho.s M.cNemara W.m Niven Tho.s Stewart Then came M.r William McGachen one of the Subscribing Evidences to the within Deed before us the Subscribers two of the County Justices for Baltimore County in the Province of Maryland & made Oath on the holy Evangelists of Almighty God that he subscribed his Name as witness to the within Deed & that he saw William Niven & Thomas Stewart the other subscribing Evidences sign their Names as witnesses thereto at the same Time & that the said Deed was duly executed in their Presence by the Party's within mentioned November 25 1771 Benjamin Rogers And Buchanan On the 28th Day of November Anno Domini 1771 came the within named Charles Wallace & James Dundass before me the Subscriber one of his Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court of the Province of Maryland & acknowledged the within Deed to be the Act & Deed of the within named Thomas Macnemara & the Land & Premises therein mentioned to be the Right & Estate of the within named Anthony Stewart his Heirs & Assigns for ever according to the true Intent & Meaning of the within Deed & the Act of Assembly in that Case made & provided Dan of S.t Tho.s Jenifer Received of M.r Anthony Stewart the Sum of one shilling & six Pence Sterling for the Use of Lord Baltimore it being the Alienation Money on the within Land by Virtue of a Commission from Dan of S.t Tho.s Jenifer Esq.r his said Lordships Agent & Receiver General 26 sides John Brice Recorded the 28th Day of November 1771 |
