257 Kent County sc.t Be it remembered that on the seventh Day of September in the Year seventeen hundred and seventy one the within named John Carvill came before us two of his Lordship's Justices of Kent County Court and of the Peace in the same County and acknowledged the within Indenture to be his Act and Deed and the Land and Premises with the Appurtenances within mentioned to be the Right & Estate of the within named John Beale Bordley & his Heirs according to the true Intent & Meaning of the same Indenture is therein expressed R Cruikshank R.d Frisby Kent County sc.t These are to certify that the Worshipful Robert Cruikshank and Richard Frisby the Gentlemen who subscribed & before whome the above Acknowledgment of John Carvill was taken were at the Time of taking and subscribing the same two of his Lordships the Lord Proprietary of the Province of Maryland his Justices of the Peace for the County of Kent and of the County Court for same County in the Province ^afd^ duly commissioned & sworn and that to all such Acknowledgments so subscribed by them due Faith & Credit is & ought to be given in Justice Court and elsewhere In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my Hand & the publick Seal of Kent County this 11.th Day of Sept 1771 L.S. D Dulany Clk Kt Coty Co.t Recorded the 8th Day of October 1771 8½ sds X.d This Indenture made the twenty first Day of September in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and seventy one Between Richard Bennett Lloyd of Talbot County Gentleman of the one Part and Edward Lloyd of the same County Gentleman of the other Part Witnesseth that the said Richard Bennett Lloyd for and in Consideration of the Sum of five Shillings Sterling Money of Great Britain to him in Hand paid by the said Edward lloyd before the Ensealing and Delivery of these Presents the Receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge as also for brotherly Love and Affection hath given granted bargained and sold and by these Presents doth give grant bargain and sell unto the said Edward lloyd all that Part or Parcel of Land called and known by the Name of Wilton lying and being partly in Talbot and partly in Queen Annes Countys Begining at a red oak marked with twelve Notches three against three on the North Side of a Mill Pond & about twenty nine Yards from the Side (of) |
