248 On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was thus endorsed to wit On the fourth Day of May 1771 came before me the Subscriber one of his Lordship's Provincial Justices the within named Benjamin Mackall the fourth & John Moore & Cassandra his wife & severally acknowledged the within Instrument of Writing to be their respective Act & Deed & the Land within mentioned with its Appurtenances to be the Right and Estate of the within named John Mackall Junior his Heirs & Assigns for ever and the said Cassandra wife to the said John Moore being by me examined privately out of the Hearing of her Husband declared that she made the above Acknowledgment willingly and freely & without being induced thereto by Force or Threats of ill Usage by her Husband or Fear of his Displeasure Taken according to the Act of Assembly in such Case made & provided Taken before me Philip Thomas Lee Received the Day and Year above written of the within named John Mackall Junior the Sum of seventy three Pounds ten Shillings Sterling Money being the Consideration Money within mentioned to be paid by him to me P me Jn.o Moore Test his Alexander + Frazier Recorded the 24th Day of September 1771 X.d This Indenture made this twenty ninth Day of January Anno Domini seventeen hundred and seventy one Between Nicholas Dorsey of Ann Arundel County in the Province of Maryland of the one Part and Colder Haymond in Frederick County and Province aforesaid of the other Part Witnesseth that the said Nicholas Dorsey for and in Consideration of the Sum of one hundred Pounds Sterling to him in Hand paid by the said Colder Haymond the Receipt whereof the said Nicholas Dorsey doth hereby acknowledge and himself therewith to be fully satisfied contented and paid & thereof and therefrom doth acquit and Discharge the said Colder Haymond his Heirs and Assigns for ever Hath given granted bargained and sold and by these Presents Doth give grant bargain and sell unto the said Colder Haymond his Heirs and Assigns for ever Part of a certain tract of Land called William's Range begining at the End of sixty six Perches or the twenty eighth Line of said Land and runing thence by & with the Outlines of said Land the twelve following Courses viz North twenty six Degrees west twenty four Perches, North thirty six Degrees East forty three Perches, South forty six Degrees East thirty seven Perches, North twenty three Degrees East twenty Perches, North Eleven Degrees East sixteen Perches, North forty Perches, North sixty five Degrees west twenty eight Perches, North nineteen Degrees west one hundred & forty five Perches, South seventy four Degrees west twenty six Perches, South thirty nine Perches, South seventy six Degrees west eighty Perches, North eighty seven & an half Degrees west forty eight Perches then South eleven & an half Degrees East one hundred and twenty six Perches to the Main Road with the said Road to the first Begining containing (and) |
