216 On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was thus endorsed to wit Received on the Day and Year first within written of and from the within Edward Tilghman the Sum of two thousand two hundred and five Pounds Pensylvania Currency being the Consideration Money within mentioned to be by him paid me Henry McLacklan Test Ja Tilghman 3.d On the twenty ninth Day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and seventy one came before us the Subscribers two of his Lordships Justices for Queen Ann's County the within Edward Tilghman and acknowledged the within Instrument of Writing to be his Act and Deed to and for the Uses, Intent and Purpose therein pa^r^ticularly specified and the Lands and Premises therein contained to be the Right and Estate of the same Edward Tilghman his Heirs and Assigns for ever Geo Garnett Th Wright On the fifth Day of April 1771 came before me the Subscriber one of his Lordships Provincial Justices the within Henry McLacklan and James Hollyday and severally and respectively acknowledged the within Instrument of writing to be their Act and Deed to and for the uses Intents and Purposes therein Particularly Specified & the Lands and Premises therein contained to be the Right and Estate of the within Edward Tilghman his Heirs and Assigns for ever W.m Hayward Recorded the 6th Day of September 1771 Maryland fs.t Frederick Absolute Lord and Proprietary of the Provinces X.d of Maryland and Avalon Lord Baron of Baltimore and so forth Rob.t Eden To all whom these Presents shall come Greeting Know Ye that We reposing special Trust and Confidence in the Capacity, Care Prudence and Fidelity of Daniel of Saint Thomas Jenifer of the City of Annapolis in our Province of Maryland Esquire Have made, constituted, ordained, authorized and appointed And by these Presents Do make constitute, ordain authorize and appoint him the said Daniel of Saint Thomas Jenifer to be our Chief Agent, Escheator and Receiver General of all our Rents, Arrears of Rents, Fines, Forfeitures, Tobacco or Money for Land Warrants, Ferrys, Waifs, Strays and Deodands of all duties arising from or growing due upon Exportation of Tobacco or Tonnage of Ships and all other Monies, Tobacco, or other Effects in any Manner or Ways now due or hereafter to grow due whether by protested Bills of Exchange or otherwise to us ^within^ our said (Province) |
