       same to be his Act and Deed for the Purposes therein mentioned

           This Indenture made this first Day of May in the Year of our Lord seventeen hundred and
       seventy one  Between Anthony Stewart of the City of Annapolis Merchant of the one Part & James Dick of
       London Town Merchant of the other Part  Whereas Alexander Ferguson late of London Town Taylor deceased made
       his last Will and Testament in Writing whereby amongst other things he did devise and direct that his three
       dwelling Houses in the City of Annapolis with all the ground he had there which had been made over at four
       different Times as might appear by Deeds on Record should be sold at public Vendue and fully described in the
       Maryland Gazette at lease six or eight Weeks before the Day of Sale & further willed that they should be sold at
       a Provincial Court or at some other public Time at Annapolis and the Money they should be sold for be applied
       towards paying his just and lawful Debts of which same will the same Alexander Ferguson appointed the aforesaid
       Anthony Stewart and a certain John Davidson together with his wife to be Executors but the said John
       Davidson and Elizabeth the wife of the aforesaid Alexander Ferguson both renounced the Executorship aforesaid &
       refused to prove or execute the said Will and he the said Anthony Stewart hath caused the said will to be duly proved
       and recorded in the Prerogative Office & hath taken on himself the burthen of the Execution thereof and doth
       also after six weeks successive Advertisements in the Maryland Gazette of the Sale of the said dwelling houses
       and ground before mentioned particularly and fully describing the same in & by the said Advertisement set
       up & exposed to Sale by way of public Vendue on the seventeenth of November last in the time of Ann
       Arundel County Court on the Premises the dwelling House and Piece or Parcel of Ground hereinafter mentioned
       with the Appurtenances at which Vendue the aforesaid James Dick was the best and highest Bidder at
       and for the Sum of Sixty Pounds Pennsylvania Current Money  Now This Indenture Witnesseth
       that the said Anthony Stewart for and in Consideration of the Sum of fifty six Pounds Pennsylvania
       Current Money to him in Hand paid by the said James Dick his Heirs Executors Administrators & Assigns &
       every of them by these Presents Hath granted bargained and sold aliened released and confirmed &
       by these Presents Doth grant bargain sell alien release and confirm unto the aforesaid James Dick
       his Heirs and Assigns for ever all that Piece or Parcel of Ground which was formerly conveyed by a
       certain Robert Reith to the aforesaid Alexander Ferguson on or about the thirtieth Day of May in
       the year of our Lord seventeen hundred and sixty eight which was duly recorded in Ann Arundel County
       Court Records Reference being thereunto had may more fully appear Together with all dwelling Houses
       and all other Houses Buildings Gardens Ways Waters Priviledges Easements Advantages and Appurtenances
       whatsoever on the same Piece or Parcel of Ground being to the same belonging or in any wise
       Appurtaining  To have and to hold the said Piece or Parcel of Ground & all & Singular the
       Premises hereby bargained and sold or meant mentioned or intended so to be to the aforesaid James
       Dick his Heirs and Assigns to the only proper Use and Behoof of the said James Dick his Heirs &
       Assigns and to or for no other use Intent or Purpose whatsoever and the said Anthony Stewart for
       himself his Heirs Executors and Administrators doth hereby covenant & grant to and with the said
       James Dick his Heirs and Assigns that he the said Anthony Stewart shall and will at any time
       or times hereafter at the reasonable Request Cost and Charges of the aforesaid James Dick his Heirs
