205) aforesaid Beginning at a Cedar Post being a Boundary of James Dicks Land and close on the South Side of the Road a little Way from London Town, and but a small Distance a Cross the Main Road from the cool Spring and running thence South fifty one Degrees West twenty eight and three Quarter Perches to another Cedar Post of James Dicks Land thence North thirty nine Degrees West nine Perches into the Main Road ^thence with the Main Road^ in a straight line to the Begining Post containing three Quarters of an Acre and no more Together then with all and singular the Houses, Edifices, Buildings Orchards, Gardens, Fences, Hereditame^nt^s and Appurtenances whatsoever to the said Piece or Parcel of Land belonging or in any wise appertaining or otherwise used occupied and enjoyed all and the Estate Right, Title, Interest, Use, Trust, Property Claim and Demand whatsoever of them the said Mary Strachan, John Davidson and Eleanor his Wife, and Margaret Strachan of in and unto the said Piece or Parcel of Land and Premises and every Part and Parcel thereof & the Reversion and Reversions, Remainder and Remainders, Rents, Issues and Profits thereof To have and to hold the aforesaid Piece or Parcel of Land with all and singular the Premises and Appurtenances herein before mentioned meant or intended to be hereby granted aliened and confirmed and every part and Parcel thereof with their and every of their Rights Members and Appurtenances unto him the said James Dick his Heirs and Assigns for ever and to or for no other Use Intent or Purpose whatsoever and the said Mary Strachan, John Davidson and Eleanor his Wife and Margaret Strachan and their and each of their Heirs Executors and Administrators hereby covenants grants and agrees to and with the said James Dick his Heirs and Assigns that they the said Mary Strachan, John Davidson and Eleanor his Wife and Margaret Strachan their and each of their Heirs and Assigns and against all and every other Person or Persons whatsoever claiming or which shall hereafter claim by from or under them or any or either of them shall and will for ever warrant and defend by these Presents In Witness whereof the Parties first to these Presents hath hereunto set their Hands & affixed their Seals the Day and Year first above Written Signed Sealed & delivered Mary Strachan (Seal) In the Presence of us John Davidson (seal) Dan of S.t Tho.s Jenifer Eleanor Davidson (seal) Cha W Howard Margaret Strachan (seal) On the Back of the aforesaid Deed was thus Endorst to wit Received the 31.st Day of July 1771 of M.r James Dick one Pound three Shillings and seven Pence half Penny Sterling being the Consideration Money within mentioned to be paid by him to us Witness Mary Strachan Dan of S.t Tho.s Jenifer John Davidson Cha W Howard Eleanor Davidson Margaret Strachan |
