201 before whome the above acknowledgement ^appears^ to have been taken were at the time of ^the^ taking the same and now are two of the right honourable the Lord Proprietary's Justices of the peace for the County aforesaid legally authorized and Assigned to whome due Credit ought to be given as well in Justice Court as thereout In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my Hand and affixed the Publick Seal of the County aforesaid this fifth Day of July Anno Domini one thousand seven hundred and seventy one L S Recorded this 8th Day of July 1771 A Lawson Clk X.d This Indenture made the fourth Day of July in the Year of our Lord seventeen hundred and seventy one Between Anthony Stewart Administrators of all and singular the Goods Chatells and Credits which were of Thomas Richardson late of Ann Arundel County deceased with the last Will of the said Thomas Richardson to his Letters of Administration annexed of the one Part and James Dick and Robert Couden of Ann Arundel County Merchants of the other Part Whereas by a certain Deed indented on or about the eleventh Day of September seventeen hundred and sixty seven a certain Ann Dell by the Name and Addition therein mentioned and contained did demise grant and to Farm let unto him the said Thomas Richardson all the two Lots of Ground therein mentioned and described for and during and untill the full End and Term of ninety and nine Years from the Day next before the Day of the Date of the same Indenture for upon and under the Rents Covenants and Agreements in the same Indenture mentioned as by the same Deed indented duly acknowledged and Recorded in the Records of the Provincial Court Relation being thereunto had may more fully appear Now This Indenture Witnesseth that the said Anthony Stewart for and in Consideration of the Sum of twenty Pounds Pounds Sterling to him in Hand paid by the said James Dick and Robert Couden at or before the Sealing and Delivery of these Presents the Receit whereof he doth hereby acknowledge and thereof and therefrom doth release acquit and discharge the afsd James Dick and Robert Couden their Exts Admrs and Assigns and every of them by these Presents Hath granted bargained sold assigned transferred and et over and by these presents Doth grant bargain sell assign transfer and set over unto the said James Dick and Robert Couden the said Indenture of Lease and the two Lots of Ground therein mentioned to be demised and the whole Term and Interest in and to the same two Lots of Ground in and by Virtue of the said Demise yet to come and unexpired and also all Covenants in the said Indenture contained and all the Estate Right Title and Interest whatsoever of him the said Anthony Stewart either in Law or Equity as Administrator aforesaid or otherwise howsoever of in or to the said Indenture of Lease or the said two Lotts of Ground in the Residue of the said Term not yet expired on the Covenants or Agreements in the said Indenture contained To have and to hold one undivided Moiety of the said Premises to him the said James Dick his Executors Administrators and Assigns to his and their proper Use Behoof and Benefit And to have and to hold the other undivided Moiety of the said Premises to him the said Robert Couden his Executors Administrators and Assigns to his and their proper Use Behoof and Benefit And to have and to hold the other undivided Moiety of the said Premises to him the said Robert Couden his Executors Administrators & Assigns to his & their proper Use and Benefit In Witness whereof the Parties to these Presents have hereunto interchangeably set their Hands and affixed their Seals the Day and Year first above written Signed sealed & Delivered in the Presence of Anthony Stewart (seal) The words "the Provincial Court" being first interlined Sam.l Galloway Ja Tilghman 3.d |
