200 intended to be hereby granted and released and every part and Parcel thereof with the Appurtenances unto the said Walter Dulany His Heirs and Assigns forever to the only proper Use and Behoof of him the said Walter Dulany his Heirs and Assigns free and clear of all Charge and Incumbrance whatsoever other than the Quit Rents hereafter to grow due on the Premises and the said William Woodward for himself his Heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns doth hereby Covenant grant and agree to and with the said Walter Dulany his Heirs and Assigns that the said William Woodward his Heirs Executors ^or^ Administrators shall and will at all Times hereafter at the reasonable Request and at the proper Cost & Charge of him the said Walter Dulany his Heirs and Assigns make, do, execute and acknowledge or procure to be made done executed and acknowledged any other lawful act and acts Assurance and Assurances for the better and more perfect granting Conveying and assuring the said Premises according to the true Intent and Meaning of these presents to the said Walter Dulany his Heirs and Assigns as shall be reasonably desired and required for and concerning the same In Witness whereof the said William Woodward hath hereunto set his Hand and affixed his Seal the Day and Year first above written Wm Woodward (Seal) Signed Sealed and delivered in presence of us And Buchanan Benjamin Rogers On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Endorsed to wit Received ^on^ the Day and Year first within written of and from the within named Walter Dulany the sum of six hundred and fifty pounds Sterling Money of Great Britain being the Consideration money within mentioned to be paid by him to me Received by me W.m Woodward Witness And Buchanan On the twenty seventh day of June in the year seventeen hundred and seventy one came the within named William Woodward before us the Subscribers two of his Lordships the Right Honourable the Lord Proprietary of Maryland his Justices of Baltimore County Court and acknowledged the within Instrument of Writing to be his Act and Deed and the Land within mentioned and every Part and Parcel thereof and Premises with the Appurtenances to be the only right and Estate of the within named Walter Dulany his Heirs and Assigns according to the true Intent and meaning of the same writing At the same time also personally appeared before use Jane the wife of the said William Woodward and acknowledged and relinquished all her Right and Title of Dower of in and to the Premises and appurtenances aforesaid to him the said Walter Dulany his Heirs and Assigns and she being by us examined privately apart from and out of the Hearing of her said Husband declared she made Such Acknowledgment and relinquishment willingly and freely and without being induced thereto by Fears or Threats of or ill Usage by her said Husband or fear of his Displeasure according to the Act of Assembly in such Cases made & provided And Buchanan Benjamin Rogers Baltimore County sct By this be it known unto all whome it doth or may concern that Messieurs Andrew Buchanan and Benjamin Rogers, Gentleman of the County aforesaid (before) |
