197 of Great Britain to him in Hand paid by the said Walter Dulany the Receipt whereof the said William Woodward doth hereby acknowledge hath granted bargained and sold and by these Presents Doth grant bargain and sell unto the aforesaid Walter Dulany all that Tract or Parcel of Land Scituate lying and being in Ann Arundel County on the North side of Severn River being Part of a Tract of Land called Piney Grove in which a Certain other Tract of Land called Hanchliffs Range is included containing in the whole Eleven hundred and twenty six Acres more or less which said Part of a tract of Land called Piney Grove was conveyed by a Certain Thomas Larkin among sundry other Tracts of Land by a Deed bearing Date August the twenty third Day if the year seventeen hundred and twenty nine to Mary Woodward and Elizabeth Ginn of Great Britain Sisters and Coheiresses of Amos Garrett late of the City of Annapolis Merchant deceased Together with all the Rights Members and Appurtenances and all Houses Edifices Buildings Meadows Trees Woods Underwoods Ways Paths Waters Water Courses Easements Profits, Commodities Improvements, Advantages Emoluments and Hereditaments comprehended within the bounds Limits and Extent of the said Tract or Parcel of Land or belonging or in any wise appertaining thereunto or which now is or formerly hath been accepted refuted used occupied or enjoyed to or with the same or as part Parcel or Member thereof or any Part thereof and the reversion and reversions Remainder and Remainders Rents Services and Profits of the said Premises and of every Part and Parcel thereof with the Appurtenances To have and to hold all and singular the Premises aforesaid unto the said Walter Dulany his Executors Administrators and Assigns from the Day next before the Day of the Date of these presents for and during and untill the full End and Term of one whole Year then next ensuing and fully to be compleat and ended Yielding and Paying therefor one pepper Corn in and upon the Feast of Saint Michael the Archangel if demanded To the Intent and Purpose that by Virtue of these Presents and by Force and Operation of the Statute for transfering Uses into Possession he the said Walter Dulany may be in the actual Possession of all and singular ^the^ Premises and thereby be enabled to accept and take a Grant and Release of the Reversion and Inheritance thereof to him and his Heirs to his only proper use and Behoof In Witness whereof the said William Woodward hath hereunto set his Hand and affixed his Seal the Day and Year first above written Signed Sealed and delivered in the Presence of us Wm Woodward (seal) The word "late" being first interlined Benjamin Rogers And Buchanan On the Back of the aforegoing Lease was thus Endorsed to wit Received the Day and Year first within written of and from the within named Walter Dulany the Sum of five Shillings Sterling Money of great Britain being the Consideration Money within mentioned to be paid by him to me Received by me W.m Woodward Witness Benjamin Rogers |
