155. 11.th April 1771. Came the within named Hannah Green Thomas Cole Speagle and Rachel his wife Barney Binox and Ann his wife George Childs and Hannah his wife James Madewell and Temperance his wife Walter James and Mary his wife, and William Cooke and being severally Examined according to form of the Act of Assembly in such case made and provided acknowledged the within Instrument of writing to be their Acts and Deed to and for the uses and purposes therein mentioned And the said Rachel Speagle Ann Binox Hannah Childs Temperance Madewell and Mary James being Examined seperate & apart from their said Husbands freely Relinquished their Right and Title to the within Premisses to the said Joseph Ensor and his heirs and acknowledged they did the same freely and without being induced thereto by Threats of their said Husbands or thro' fear of their displeasure Recorded this 16th day of April 1771 W.m Hayward 13½ sides X.d This Indenture made the twentyeth Day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand Seven hundred and seventy one Between Jeremiah Jacob of Frederick County Planter of the one Part and Samuel Tull of Ann Arundel County Ship Wright of the other part Witnesseth that the said Jeremiah Jacob for and in Consideration of the sum of twenty five Pounds Sterling Money to him in hand paid at or before the Ensealing and Delivery of these Presents the Receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged and for Divers other good Causes and Considerations him thereunto moveing more especially for the Docking Barring and Extinguishing all Estates Tail and all Reversions and Remainders thereupon dependant of into or out of the Land hereafter described Hath granted bargained sold Released and Confirmed and by these Presents Doth grant, bargain, sell Release and Confirm unto him the said Samuel Tull his Heirs and Assigns All that piece Parcell or Tract of Land called Jacob's Lott being part of a Tract of Land called Ijams's Purchase which also is part of a Tract of land Burges's Choice Situate lying and being in Ann Arundel County Beginning at a bounded Poplar standing by a Spring and running by a Line drawn west seventy five Perches to a bounded Red Oak standing on a Neale thence North forty eight Perches to a bounded Red Oak thence East Eighty five Perches till it intersect the Line of John Jacob sen.r thence with a streight Line to the first Tree containing and laid out for twenty five Acres of Land be the same more or less together with all and singular the Houses, Edifices, Buildings and Improvements to the aforesaid Tract or Parcell of Land belonging and the Reversion and Reversions Remainder and Remainders Rents Issues and Profits thereof and of every Part and Parcell thereof and all the Estate Right Title Interest Use Trust Property Claim and Demand whatsoever of him the said Jeremiah Jacob of into or out of the Premisses To have and to hold the said Tract or Parcell of Land and all and singular the Premisses with the Appurtenances unto him the said Samuel Tull his Heirs and Assigns to the End that one or more good and Perfect Recoveries in the Nature of Common Recoveries for the Assurance of Lands may in Due form of Law be had suffured levied and Perfected at the next or some subsequent Provincial Court And it is hereby Declared by the Parties to these Presents and the true Intent and Meaning hereof is that the said Common Recoveries (to) |
