149 against all and every other Person or Persons whatsoever claiming or to claim from by or under them or either of them or their Heirs and from and against all Persons whatsoever shall and will well and truly warrant and forever Defend by these Presents unto the said Edward Dorsey son of John his Heirs and Assigns forever In Witness whereof the said Nathan Linthicum and Susannah Linthicum have hereto set their Hands and Seals the Day and Year above written Signed Sealed and Delivered before Dan of S.t Tho.s Jenifer Nathan Linthicum (seal) (y.e word "red" being first interlined) Anthony Stewart Susanna Linthicum (seal) On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was Endorsed as follows, to wit, April 12th 1771 Then received of the within named Edward Dorsey son of John the sum of one hundred pounds eight Shillings Sterling being the Consideration within mentioned Test Nathan Linthicum Anthony Stewart Susanna Linthicum On the 12th Day of April Anno Domini seventeen hundred and seventy one came before me one of his Lordship's Justices of the Provincial Court of Maryland Nathan Linthicum within named and acknowledged the within Deed to be his Act and Deed and the Land and Premisses therein mentioned to be the Right and Estate of the said Edward Dorsey son of John his Heirs and Assigns according to the true Intent and Meaning of the same Deed and the Act of Assembly in such Case made and provided and at the same Time came Susannah Linthicum, party to the within Deed, wife of the said Nathan Linthicum and being privately examined out of the Hearing of her said Husband did acknowledge the same to be her Act and Deed and the Land and Premisses therein mentioned to be the Right and Estate of the said Edward Dorsey son of John and that she did make this her acknowledgment of the same willingly and freely and without being induced thereto by Fear or Threats of or Ill Usage from her said Husband or Fear of his Displeasure acknowledged before Dan of S.t Tho.s Jenifer Received of M.r Edward Dorsey son John the sum of six shillings Sterling for ^the^ use of Lord Baltimore it being the Alienation Money on the within land by Virtue of a Commission from John Morton Jordan Esq.r His said Lordships Agent and receiver General Recorded this 13th Day of April 1771 J Brice 9 sides X.d This Indenture made the Eleventh Day of April in the Year Seventeen hundred and seventy one Between Neale Haile of Baltimore County Planter of the one Part and Joseph Ensor Gentleman of the said County of the other part Witnesseth That the said Neale Haile in Consideration of five Shillings Sterling Money to him in Hand paid by the said Joseph Ensor at or before the Ensealing and Delivery of these Presents hath bargained and sold and by these Presents doth bargain and Sell unto the said Joseph Ensor his Executors Administrators and Assigns one hundred and five Acres of Land lately the Dwelling Plantation of Nicholas Haile deceased being Part of a Tract or Parcel of Land called Merrymans Lott lying in Baltimore County aforesaid also thirty Acres of Land lying in the said County being part of a Tract or Parcel of Land called Hailes Addition adjoining to the said Dwelling Plantation of Nicholas Haile Deceased the said thirty Acres to begin at a (great) |
