142 Arbitration or otherwise as his said attorney shall think fitt and Generally in the Premisses to do perform and Execute all and whatsoever shall be requisite and necessary in as full and ample Manner to all intents and Purposes as he the said Constituent might or could do if he was Personally present Also with Power of Substitution and Revocation the said Constituent hereby promising to ratify confirm and hold for good all and whatsoever his said Attorney or his substitute or substitutes shall lawfully ever cause to be done in or about the Premisses by Virtue of these Presents Thus done and passed in London aforesaid in the Presence of Mes.rs Archibald Greig and Dougal McDougal Witnesses Sealed and Delivered, being first Arch.d Greig Will.m Molleson (seal) duly Stampt, in the Presence of Dougal McDougal Seal In præmissorum fidem Abra.s Ogier Not.s Pub.s 1766 On the back of the aforegoing Power of Attorney was thus Endorsed Viz.t Maryland Baltimore County fs.t August 24th 1767 Then Came Captain Dougal McDougal before me one of his Lordships Justices of the peace for the County aforesaid and made oath on the Holy Evangels of Almighty God, that he saw M.r William Molleson Merchant in London Sign Seal and Deliver the above Power of Attorney and at the same time Archibald Greig being Present was a Subscribing Witness to the same Given under my hand the Date above Benjamin Rogers Maryland Charles County fs.t February 14 1767 Then came Captain Archibald Greig before us two of his Lordships Justices of the Peace for the Province and County aforesaid and made Oath on the Holy Evangels of Almighty God that he saw M.r William Molleson of London Sign Seal and Deliver the Power of Attorney hereto annexed and at the same time Dougal McDougal being Present was a Subscribing Witness to the same Given under our hands the Date above 5¾ sides Tho.s Stone Recorded this 12th Day of April 1771 Sam Hanson X.d This Indenture made this Nineteenth Day of March in the Year One thousand seven hundred and seventy one Between Samuel Theobalds of Saint Marys County and Mary Theobalds formerly Mary Smith his Wife of the one part and Mathias Jones of the same County of the other Part Witnesseth That the said Samuel and Mary Theobalds for and in Consideration of the sum of five Shillings Current Money to them in Hand paid by the said Mathias Jones the receipt whereof is by them hereby acknowledged Have and each of them hath Given granted bargained and sold and by these Presents Do and each of them Doth Give grant bargain and sell unto the said Mathias the following Tracts Parcells or Parts of Tracts of Land lying and being in Saint Marys County aforesaid that is to say all that Part of a Tract of Land called Scotland being in the County aforesaid which lies on the North East side of a Line begining at a Locust Post being the second Boundary of the said Tract of Land called Scotland and running thence East south East to a Marked Spanish Oak Tree thence south (west) |
