115 his Heirs to and for the Use and Behoof of the said W.m Logan and his Heirs for ever and to and for no other Use Intent or Purpose whatsoever In Witness whereof I have hereunto Set my Hand & seal the Day and Year above written Signed Sealed and Delivered in presence of W.m Paca (seal) Philip Thomas Lee On the back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Endorsed to wit Re.d 24 Jan 1771 of W.m Logan the within sum of five shilling within Mentioned to be by him paid to Me Witness W.m Paca Philip Thomas Lee 24 Jan 1771 Then came before Me One of his Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court William Paca and acknowledged the within Instrument of Writing to be his Act and Deed and the Land within Mentioned to be the Right & Estate of the within Mentioned William Logan & his Heirs Recorded 24.th of January 1771 Philip Thomas Lee 3 Sides x.d This Indenture made this eighth Day of October in the Year of our Lord seventeen hundred and seventy Between Captain Leonard Hammond eldest son and Heir at Law of Nicholas Hammond late of Ann Arundel County deceased of the one part and Samuel Chase of the City of Annapolis of the other part Witnesseth that the said Leonard Hammond for and in Consideration of the sum of Six hundred pounds therefrom and of every Part thereof doth acquit release exonerate and discharge hath given granted bargained sold aliened enfeoffed and confirmed and he the said Leonard hammond for himself and his Heirs by these presents doth give grant bargain sell alien enfeoff and confirm all that Tract or Parcel of Land called the Recovery containing four hundred and fifteen Acres of Land more or less situate lying and being on the North side of the River Severn in Ann Arundel County and patented to a certain John Hammond on the twentieth Day of November in the Year one thousand seven hundred and eighteen and all that Tract or Parcel of Land called Hammonds Quarter containing Seventy seven Acres of Land more or less situate lying and being on the North side of Severn River in the County aforesaid and patented to the said John Hammond on the Day and Year aforesaid and all his other Lands whatsoever lying on the North side of the River Severn in Ann Arundel County together with all Houses Buildings, Gardens, Orchards, Ways, Waters, Water Courses Woods Underwoods Priviledges, Advantages, Improvements and Appurtenances whatsoever to the said several Tracts or Parcels of Land belonging or in any wise appertaining And all the Estate Right, Title, Interest, use, Trust, Possession, Property Claim and Demand whatsoever in Law and in Equity of him the said Leonard Hammond of in or to the said several Tracts or Parcels of Land and each of them and other the Premisses with the (appurtenances) |
