114 Land and Premisses to him the sid Philemon Barnes his Heirs and Assigns for ever Shall and will Warrant and Defend off and from all manner of Persons whatsoever Claiming any right Title or Interest thereunto by from or Under him the said John Hood his Heirs or Assigns or by from or Under him them or any of them and Lastly the said John Hood doth Covenant Promise and agree for himself and his Heirs Executors adm.rs To and with him the said Philemon Barnes his Heirs and Assigns that he the said John Hood and his Heirs shall and will from Time to Time and at all Times hereafter at the Reasonable Request and at the Cost and Charges in the Law of the said Philemon Barnes his Heirs and Assigns Make such further and other Grant and Assurance for the sure Makeing and Confirming the affsd Land and Premisses unto the said Philemon Barnes his heirs and Assigns for Ever According to the true Intent and Meaning hereof as he Shall be by his Counsill Learned in the Law be reasonably Devised advised or Required In Witness whereof the Party first above Named hath hereunto sett his Hand and affixed his seal the day and year above Written Signed Sealed and Delivered John Hood (seal) In presence of Thomas Dorsey Jn.o Dorsey On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Endorsed to wit Received 20 December Seventeen hundred and seventy of Philemon Barnes the Just sum of Thirty pounds Sterling Money it being the Consideration for the within Land and Premisses Thomas Dorsey P.r Me John Hood Jn.o Dorsey Dec.r 20 1770 Then Came John Hood Before Us two of his Lordships Justices of the Peace for Ann Arundell County and acknowledged the within Indenture to be his Act and Deed and the Land and Premisses therein Mentioned to be the Right and Estate of the within Named Philemon Barnes his Heirs and Assigns for ever Thomas Dorsey Recorded 15.th Day of January 1770 Jn.o Dorsey 9 sides X.d This Indenture made this ^Twenty^ fourth Day of January Seventeen hundred and seventy one Between William Paca of the City of Annapolis Attorney of the one part and William Logan of the said City of the other part Witnesseth that the said William Paca for and in Consideration of the sum of five shillings Sterling Money in Hand paid hath bargained and Sold and by these presents doth bargain and Sell unto the said William Logan and his Heirs all that Tract or Parcel of Land called Rarseby lying and being in Queen Ann's County containing one hundred and forty three and one half Acres and the Remainder and Remainders Reversion and Reversions Rents Issues and Profitts thereof to have and to hold the said Tract or parcel of Land and Premisses with the Appurtenances unto him the said William Logan and (his) |
