111 On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Endorsed to wit On the 8.th day of January Seventeen hundred and seventy one Came before me the Subscriber one of his Lordships Provincial Justices the within named Daniel Dulany attorney in Fact of the within named Thomas Bladen and acknowledged the within Deed to be the Act and Deed of the same Thomas Bladen and the Lands and Appurtenances within mentioned to be conveyed to be the Right and Estate of the within Named Samuel Howard and John Howard the within Bargainees their Heirs and Assigns for ever according to the true intent and Meaning of the within Deed and the Act of Assembly in such Case made and Provided Recorded the 8.th day January 1771 Philip Thomas Lee sides x.d This Indenture made the eighth day of Janury in the Year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and seventy one Between Henry Brown of Baltimore Town in Baltimore County of the one part and Charles Carroll Esquire of Carrollton of the other part Witnesseth that the said Henry Brown for and in Consideration of the Sum of Three hundred and seventy seven Pounds Sterling Money to him in Hand paid by the said Charles Carroll at or before the Sealing and Delivery of these presents the Receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge and thereof and therefrom doth release acquit exonerate and discharge the said Charles Carroll his Heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns and every of them by these presents Hath given granted bargained sold aliened released Enfeoffed and confirmed And by these presents Doth give grant bargain sell alien release enfeoff and confirm unto ^him^ the said Charles Carroll his Heirs and Assigns for ever All That Tract or parcel of Land lying and being in Baltimore County aforesaid called Browns Farm granted to him the said Henry Brown containing Two hundred and seventy Nine Acres of Land more or less Together with all Houses Buildings Gardens Orchards Woods Under Woods Waters Water Courses Ways Easments Priviledges Advantages and Appurtenances whatsoever on the same being to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining And the Revertion and Revertions Remainder and Remainders Rents Issues and Profits thereof and of every Part and Parcel thereof And all the Estate Right Title Interest Use Trust Property Claim and Demand whatsoever of him the said Henry Brown of in and to the said Land and Appurtenances To have and to hold the said Tract or Parcel of Land and Premises with its Rights Members and Appurtenances to him the said Charles Carroll his Heirs and Assigns to the only proper Use and Behoof of him the said Charles Carroll his Heirs and Assigns for ever and to or for no other Use Intent or purpose whatsoever And the said Henry Brown for himself his Heirs Executors and Administrators doth hereby covenant grant and agree to and with the said Charles Carroll his Heirs Executors Administrators & Assigns That he the said Henry Brown and his Heirs the said Tract or Parcel of Land with its Rights Members and Appurtenances to him the said Charles Carroll his Heirs and Assigns from and against all Persons whatsoever shall and will warrant and for ever defend And further that he the said Henry Brown and his Heirs shall and will at any Time or Times hereafter at the Request Costs and Charges of the said Charles Carroll his Heirs or Assigns make execute and perfect any and all such Acts Deeds and Assurances as shall or may be ^advised^ devised or required for the (more) |
