110 X.d This Indenture made the 8.th Day of January in the Year of our Lord Seventeen hundred and Seventy one Between Thomas Bladen of the Parish of Saint George Hanover Square in the County of Middlesex in the Kingdon of England Esquire of the one part and Samuel Howard and John Howard the Two eldest Sons of Samuel Howard late of Ann Arundel County in the Province of Maryland deceased of the other part Whereas the said Thomas Bladen by his certain Deed or Letter of Attorney made and Dated on or about the Twenty ninth day of December one thousand seven hundred and sixty eight did make Daniel Dulany of Annapolis in the said Province of Maryland Esq.r his Attorney to execute such Deed or Deeds in his Name for assuring to the Two eldest Sons of the said Samuel Howard deceased in Fee simple so much Land belonging to him the said Thomas Bladen in Frederick County in the said Province of Maryland for the Consideration of five Shillings as he the said Daniel Dulany should deem to be worth four hundred pounds Sterling and whereas the following Tracts or Parcels of Land in Frederick County herein after described are deemed by the said Daniel Dulany not to exceed the Value of Four hundred Pounds Sterling Now this Indenture witnesseth that the said Thomas Bladen for and in Consideration of the before mentioned five Shillings to him in Hand paid by the said Samuel and John Howard party to these presence the Receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge and thereof and therefrom doth hereby acquit the same Samuel Howard and John Howard their Heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns Hath granted bargained and sold and by these Presents Doth grant bargain and sell unto them the same Samuel Howard and John Howard their Heirs and Assigns All those several Tracts or Parcels of Land lying and being in Frederick County aforesaid following to wit Mills Folly containing one hundred Acres more or less and the Resurvey thereon including and containing Three hundred and fifty four Acres of Land as Vacancy Content containing Two hundred and forty Acres more or less Providence containing Two hundred and forty Acres more or less and Beaver Dam enriched containing one hundred and thirty Acres more or less with their appurtenances To have and To hold the said several Tracts or Parcels of Land with their and each ^and every^ of their Rights Members and Appurtenances to them the same Samuel Howard and John Howard their Heirs and Assigns to the only proper Use and Behoof of them the said Samuel Howard and John Howard their Heirs and Assigns for ever and to and for no other Use Intent or Purpose whatsoever in Witness whereof the Parties to these presents have hereunto interchangeably set their Hands and affixed their seals the Day and year first above written Signed Sealed and Delivered Thomas Bladen (seal) in the presence of by Daniel Dulany aforesaid as the Attorney of and in the Name of Thomas Bladen aforesaid Philip Thomas Lee |
