109 At the Foot of the aforegoing Deed was thus Written Viz.t Received the day of the Date of this Indenture from Richard Bennett Lloyd the Bargainee the sum of five Shillings Sterling the Consideration within Expressed to be paid by him to me Witness J Beale Bordley Ben.a Kennedy Edw.d Lloyd James Hindman Be it remembered that on the first day of December One thousand seven hundred and Seventy before me the Subscriber one of the Right honble the Lord Propry his Justices of the Provincial Court personally appeared Edward Lloyd Esquire the Bargainor in the within Indenture named and acknowledged the same Indenture to be his Act and Deed and the Lands and Premisses thereby granted bargained and Sold to be the Right and Estate of the within named Richard Bennett Lloyd and his Heirs and Assigns according to the form force and Effect of the same Indenture And at the same time before me the said Justice personally appeared Elizabeth the wife of the same Edward Lloyd and did acknowledge and declare that she relinquished her Right of Dower in the said Lands and Premisses and every part thereof And being by me privately examined out of the Hearing of her Husband she did Declare that she made her Acknowledgment and Declaration afd willingly and freely and without being induced thereto by Fears or Treats of or ill Usage by her Husband or fear of his Displeasure In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand the Day and Year above Written Before J Beale Bordley Reced of Richard Bennett Lloyd the sum of nine Pounds nineteen Shillings and nine pence three farthings Sterling being the Alienation Fines on the within Lands for use of Lord Baltimore by Virtue of a Commission from John Morton Jordan Esq.r his said Lordships Agent and receiver General Jn.o Brice Recorded 3.d Day of January 1771 Fees charges thus far 11 Sides X.d Know all Men by these presents That I Thomas Bladen of the Parish of Saint George Hanover Square in the County of Middlesex Esq.r do make Daniel Dulany of Annapolis in the Province of Maryland Esq.r my Attorney to execute such Deed or Deeds in my Name for assuring to the Two Eldest Sons of Samuel Howard of Anarundel County in the said Province late deceased in fee Simple so much Land belonging to Me in Frederick County in the said Province of Maryland for the Consideration of five Shillings as he the said Daniel Dulany shall deem to be worth four hundred pounds Sterling Witness my Hand and Seal this Twenty Ninth Day of December in the Year of our Lord one Thousand Seven hundred and Sixty Eight Sealed and Delivered (being first duly Stampt) Tho Bladen (seal) in the presence of Alex.r Chrystie Rob.t Love 1½ sides Recorded 8.th Day of January 1771 |
