105 The Twentieth Day of December Anno Domini One Thousand seven hundred and seventy Before me the Subscriber one of his Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court came William Witherow party to the within Indenture and acknowledged the same According to the Act of Assembly in such cases made and provided Recorded 21.st December 1770 Philip Thomas Lee 4¾ sides X.d This Indenture made y.e Sixth day of November In the year of our Lord one thousand Seven hundred and Seventy Between Sluyter Bouchell of New Castle County in Dellroware of the one part and Joshua Vansant of Kent County In Maryland Yeoman of the other part Witnesseth that the same Joshua Vansant for and in Consideration of the sum of one Thousand and Two hundred Pounds Current Lawfull Money Retein'd Pistoles at twenty seven Shillings and Dollars at seven Shilling and Six pence &c By the same Sluyter Bouchell before the Execution of these presents to him the same Joshua Vansant in hand paid the receipt whereof he Doth hereby acknowledg Have Granted Bargained Sold Aliened Released Enfeofed and Confirmed & by these presents Doth grant Bargain Sell Alien Release Enfeof and Confirm unto the same Sluyter Bouchell his Heirs and Assigns forever all that Tract or parcel of Land called Vansants part of Endeavour and Chester Grove Resurveyed Situate lying and being in Kent County Begining at a Red Oak Tree Standing on the west side of a Branch called Dog Branch below a Meadow called Chester Meadow and runing from thence North eight Degrees west one hundred and eight perches then west south west one hundred and thirty five perches then South twenty three Degrees West one hundred and Six perches then South South East one hundred and twenty perches then south thirty three Degrees East Sixty four perches then South South East Sixty Perches then East twenty Two perches then North twelve Degrees East twenty four Perches then East by North forty five Perches then North Sixty seven Perches then North Twenty five Degrees west twenty eight perches then North fourteen Degrees East one hundred and Twenty Eight perches then with a Streight Line to the Begining Containing and now Laid out for Two hundred and Eighty one Acres of Land be the same More or Less together with all and singular the Houses Building Orchards gardens Woods Ways Waters Water Corses Tennements Heriditiments and appurtenances whatsoever unto the aforesaid Granted Bargained or hereby intended and mentioned to be Granted and Bargained Tract of Land and Every part Thereof Belonging or appertaining and the revertions and revertions Remainder and remainders thereof and all the Estate Right Title Interest Claim Demand and Property whatsoever of him the same Joshua Vansant of in and to the same Tract of Land and of in and to the Every part and parcel thereof To have and To hold all (and) |
